Red Alert! Attention Captains, the Elachi will be pouring into the Alpha Quadrant from previously undiscovered Iconian space gates in order to abduct helpless people!

The return of the Elachi Fleet Alert Weekend is almost here, where Captains can fight off the Elachi. As reports grow about the Elachi taking captives, we need every Captain at the ready to help stop these forces.

Check out our blog for more details on it here.

Best event ever! And the players love it!

That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.

I call it, the Stoutes paradox.

If you don't love elachi alert, you're obviously exploiting somewhere else.

So, anyone completed Defera City (Hard) lately? Nope, didn't think so.

Of course, this Event and Tribbles Winter Event are priorities. Leaving Holo for best part of a week before fixing it's Event is a bloody disgrace...

Please tell me there's an Advanced of this. It was mind numbingly easy the last time it ran -- I was pugging it in my T'Liss warbird, and we had a least one full t1-2 STB team.

Awesome response and dialogue so far, folks! Let's see if we can see where the thread goes from here:

    1) people throw "hur dur you're complaining about complaining" around (or it's cousin "you're just a white knight fanboi" in response to me questioning the level of discourse the "critics" have sunk to.
    2) people justify being irrational jerks by asserting that Cyptic "deserves" it for not "listening" to "the players".
    3) More people come to create straw man dev comments, or take them out of context, so that they too can get swept up in the anti-Cryptic fun
    4) New meme sigs
    5) people get bored with thread, and move on to the next dev thread, and the cycle continues.

Give it a rest, how about?

Glad to see this event make its return.

Though... Am I the only one who got a bit of a chuckle out of the last sentence on the article?

That's the best way to make sure nothing that's broken ever gets fixed, so yeah I'm the devs would love for us to pretend everything is awesome. You know, since we never leave Argala.

The elachi event is my favorite event because it gives only one of the bonus marks we get during the bonus mark weekend.

I love the Elachi Alerts, but its not a real alert, imagine this:

"This is Fleet Admiral Quinn on secure Subspace Channel 34.567:

Romulan Command intercepted what appears to be an encoded transmission in a rarely monitored subspace channel. After a long analysis, our scientist believe this are fleet wide Elachi Fleet coordination codes for massive subspace maneuvering, if this is correct, we could have a situation here.

Captain, from what we can gather, this transmission preludes an imminent invasion. if my suspicions are correct, we will only have minutes, before massive subspace jumps are detected in highly populated areas of the alpha quadrant, this means that Earth, Vulcan, Andoria, Risa and our allies homeworlds of Q'Onos and New Romulus could be at risk, you and your crew must be ready for the call if needed!"

So this mission could be a 10 or 20 ships Red Alert type of mission, to protect our homeworlds, the missions could just use the existing maps with defenses to stop a massive invasion fleet and avoid the kidmaping of civilians.

I dont know, but for me, that could be incredibly cool!, and just for a week or so..

    They are.

Were the elachi always this weak? An advanced/elite option would be nice.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

seems to be a bug, can't have 60's mixing with non-60's in the same team.
I think I liked it better when the server was down, less disappointment O.o

    so imagine this scenario

"you have a level 57 character and you drop 50 dollars into the game to buy r+d promo boxes.
you get the new shiny elachi ship that everyone is clamouring for but can't use it in the Elachi weekend ..."

    would you be happy ?

Yes, i can confirm, they are. Plus, the mission is very very easy, so it's a good method to farm some marks fast :)

It's not whining when something is not to standard especially if you are or have been a paying customer. And the game is below standard and becoming less and less playable every season update so much that I don't feel the need to log on as much as usual. And my sig is for Cryptic and becomes more and more truthful every season. If you think it applys to me then so be it. But when people like you tell us to quit "whining" that will not happen I have invested in this game and if I'm not happy I have a right to complain something that is called Freedom of speech. And you and every other protector of Cryptic cannot stop us from complaining and voicing our dissatisfaction

Oh well, you could still give it a rest. The problem with people like you is that that whining is a way of life for you. You have, of course a right to do it, but you see, you started spamming a thread about something that hasn't even started yet, it was off-topic, and disturbing. Sorry for the off.
