Now clowns, that's another story. They scare the crap out of me.
We fight them too. Entire armies spilling out of Volkswagens.
We do our best to fight them off, but they keep sending them in.
When will they patch holodeck?? 2 patches to tribble and none to holodeck.....
Thursday is the standard day...besides, with last Thursday it was two Tribble patches as well as the Winter Event that all landed that Thursday. It's not the first time that multiple Tribble patches have hit between Holodeck patches.

What's really nice is that there is only one day of testing ^^

Heh, my favorite are the Wednesday night Tribble patches where the Holodeck patch notes are posted an hour or two afterward...and all the testing that took place there! Wheeeeeee!
here's how to fix the problem better. don't lower the damages across the board. introduce dimnishing returns for tac consoles, weapons and dps in general. every minmaxer will be kicked down to casual level, and your 50-100k dps won't be an issue anymore, while casuals won't feel the difference.
the trouble is that 99% of people who have the really high dps are the paying customers. They have lobi consoles, t6 ships, and all sorts of purchases.
The majority of the 2k dps players did not buy much.
Taking away from people's spent money is a bad way to retain customers. You fix is fine on paper but it would simply make all the paying customers leave, quit, or at the least stop paying into the game. The freeloaders would be unaffected. The profits go to zero and the server shuts down.
If they try to fix it, it has to be some way other than a nerfbat.
theres actually no need to spend any real money in this game to get a ship being able to push 20-30k dps in less than 1 week after being lvl 50...
the only reason they are increaasing dps is the fact that 90% of the players in this game are too dumb and ignorant to build their ships like they should! no zen ships and nothing will fix stupid ppl!

because the majority of players barely break 10k dps, and they shouldn't be punished because of some minmaxing exploiter vocal minority who wants the entire game to get even less fun than it did since delta rising went live. enjoying your 10x hull increase?
people like you cried about overpowered minmaxers as if they were the norm, and cryptic balanced the whole game around them, affecting all of us in the process.

snow queen is too hard in smaller groups, don't give her even more flat hitpoint increase. her base hp should be reduced, but then multiplied (or have her res multiplied on the fly) by the number of participating players so she always scales to the group and is beatable even in a group of 3 or 4 (or less), which will become the norm the longer winter event is going.
Wow, talk about a rant when you have no clue at all what is going on.
Majority of the players struggle to reach 3k DPS, much less 10
Tac consoles aren't causing the damage increases, you can just diminish returns on damage in general it makes no sense
I am sorry but why? We already have players than can to extreme damage between 50 and 100K DPS do you really need to buff those builds even more.
Cryp nerfed NPCs to the Ground they cant lower anyhting on that side or the NPCs would have to suicide 24/7 and still players crying like lil TRIBBLE everything is too hard... sooooo buff players so every moron can do hard mode with ease, shut the big baby cry mouthes and ruin pvp...
Probably along the lines of the upgrade not generating enough revenue because folks didn't see the increases being worth it when there are so many other things that can increase damage much cheaper...lol, if they were to fix some of the bugs - more folks might invest in upgrades.
I'm not understanding how game generated dilithium is revenue to Cryptic ? And is this increase in weapons damage the 30%+ bump for mk XIV over Mk XIII geko was talking about ?
People seem to be forgetting that even the guys who play the game oodles of time, generating oodles of dilithium, trading oodles of dilithium on the Exchange ... are still buying ZEN ppl have paid cryptic/pwe for to get and trade .....
And in that way, are still very much in the way of "spending" on the game and getting the economy moving ....
The reason the days of 250+ Dil/Zen ratios are behind us, is because the market is big enough, and there is dil enough for trading ....

Dilithium Zen Exchange. People pay $$$ to buy Zen to trade for Dilithium. That Zen does not magically appear...people have to buy it. And all the folks farming Dil for Zen would have nowhere to go if not for the folks that were buying Zen to sell for the Dilithium.

There have been times where Tribble was patched every day of the week, and even then only two of the patches actually went to Holodeck that Thursday. Especially in huge build times like prior to Legacy of Romulus, there are going to be times where Tribble is wildly different from Holodeck. Just because something is on Tribble doesn't mean it's going to be instantly pushed to Holodeck. Usually they just put it on Tribble first just to make sure it doesn't break the game's code. Unfortunately since it doesn't usually have to endure the full load of Holodeck's population means that sometimes that doesn't work.

There's only 45 seconds to kill her in any event. Crank her HP too high, and she becomes impossible to kill in the time allotted without a huge group.
Though most of the time she goes down in under 5 seconds, so some increase wouldn't be a killer. Especially since they've now increased the amount of damage normal thrown snowballs do to boss type snowmen.
The game already allows for scaling the number of enemies based on the number of players, we've seen empty zones have much fewer snorg to kill compared to full instances for example, so really they should be able to set some sort of scaling HP so if the zone is full then the queen is going to have a much higher HP and vice versa if the zone only has a few people in it (though nothing crazy because let's face it, this mission is not designed for three or four players).
To compare, the big snowman at the end of the snowball fight has ~15 million HP. He goes down in under a minute. The Snorg Queen has ~2.5 Million HP.
Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.

I know and I agree. I've definitely said she needs more HP in zone chat after seeing her get annihilated in 8 seconds flat. Literally not enough time to cross the area....heck she spawns at the bottom of what? Crimson Cube? She's died before you could get from the top of Gold Sphere to weapons range. I've also had it where for some reason or another she barely gets below half life by the time time runs out. The fifteen million HP on the Lord Snowman even that takes only a minute.
I think the scaling HP is an ideal solution.
