As there will be people who will be away for parts of the event please extend it by at least two or three weeks.

Wow, that must be a record. We usually have to wait a week for these "Extend the event" threads but to see one appear before the event even starts is a first for me.

The funny thing is, they will probably extend it as well. They did so at least in 2012, can't remember 2013 tbh.

Yes and even though I already have over 1300 saved up from previous years I want to have 2000 saved up for next years. Besides, think of the children!

Why not just get rid of the event end altogether and keep Risa and Q's Winter Wonderland open perpetually?
Hell. I think they should bring a Breen starbase and playable faction.
Bring in X-wings and Tie fighters as Breen ships. Add a Deathstar as the starbase.
They need to extend it to the next Winter Event. Just close it the day before. I think that's plenty of time.
if i remember correctly winter wonderland 2013 was not extended lol. summer 2013 was though.

If there a massive grind for the carrier ships, I'm not doing the event. I have some cool snow ball guns from last year so that's enougth.

Being serious, could it be extended? Winter is December, January and February, and one of those is completely missed.
