Concussive Tachyon Emission Mistake?

Hi:)

Concussive Tachyon Emission is the final reward for completing the Delta reputaion at level 5. On the reputation screen it reads 20 935.2 kinetic damage which clearly is for space. However when you go to your acquire it you get a ground concussive tachyon emission at 311 kinetic damage in your active reputation. There is no concussive tachyon emission in the space reputation list. Obviously this is a huge disappointment. So is this how it is supposed to be or is this a bug or mistake?

    Hello!

It's the same here, although I've just finished Tier 5 and immediately started to make room for the new active power in my tray, then just couldn't found it in the list.
Didn't check ground powers so far, but I'm sure it will be there.
So my question is the same as above: is this a bug or was it on purpose?

    Cheers

There is nothing Written Anywhere that Says weather this is supposed to be a Ground or Space Ability.

I wouldn't be surprised if they chose to break the Mold on this one and Make the T5 Ability a Ground one, but thats just my Two Sense, lets see what it is supposed to be.

Given that the ability works on ground, has graphical FX that is suitable for ground, the image in the trait screen has the yellow person icon (indicating a ground trait), and the ability is flagged as having a "30 meter sphere" effective area, I think it's safe to assume that this is intended to be a ground ability.

Space abilities work in space, have suitable FX for space, the traits have the starship icon (not a person), and their range is given in kilometers.

It is true that concussive tachyon emission doesn't have the word "ground" or "space" anywhere like the other traits do, but everything else about it points to it being intended to be a ground ability, with nothing indicating that it should be a space ability, except for a bug that lets you slot it (greyed out) in your space ability bars, although all the ground trait abilities can be slotted that way.

Aside: It is a very effective anti-Elachi ability in its current form!

You will find the ground one in active reputation not space or ground traits.

Now I don't know where you are getting any of this info from except from the actual active traits page AFTER you have earned the ability.. I think we all can agree that while earning the rep for the ability EVERYONE thought it was space...There is no "person" icon and the damage is 20,935.2.. that is obviously NOT for ground use.. That said I am sorely disappointed in the ability, my Ef Oh's farts do more damage.

actually in this old post made in september they mentiond it was a ground ability

    http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/7005483-delta-alliance-reputation

"In addition to these passives, completing your advancement with the Delta Alliance and reaching Tier 5 will allow access to a powerful Active Ability usable in Ground combat:

    Concussive Tachyon Emission
Generates a large Tachyon blast that deals damage and nullifies enemy shields for a short time."

Of course Cryptic didn't want to make it obvious that Concussive Tachyon Emission was a ground ability, because only a few would give a **** and want to grind marks. There is a small "x" in the bottom right of the icon for this ability, similar to the Refracting Tetryon Cascade (space ability). This is un-similar to the triangle symbol found in the bottom right of icons for ground abilities. Pretty sketchy if I do say so myself.
