More Ship Slots Please...

he11bladehe11blade Member Posts: 98 Arc User
So, I have apparently hit the limit on the number of ship slots available. I no longer have the option of buying additional slots from the C-Store and it tells me I have hit max.

Now, I am left with the difficult decision of which ships to destroy in order to make way for the new tier 6 ships. Many of the ships I own are fleet vessels and others are from lock boxes. I'm not sure which of these I'd be able to reclaim if I destroy them and decide I want them back later.

Please increase the number of ship slots we can buy. Time passes with more and more ships being released. As long as I'm willing to pay for them, let me buy additional slots.

Thanks!

I've given this more thought and am still stunned the the developers have limited the amount of money I will WILLINGLY give them! I'm happy to pay for more ship slots and everything tied to that.

As it cannot buy more slots, there is no point in taking part in seasonal events that award ships as prizes. No need to buy keys for loot boxes when ships are the big prize. No need to earn upgraded versions of the hangars for new ships.

This really seems like a no-brainier request that would be easy to implement...

Signed... I'm nearly out of slots too. Come on Cryptic, change the number in the code somewhere and up the number of purchasable slots. Heck, do away with the limit altogether and let me keep expanding my fleet!

I would start by discharging the lower tier c-store ships, but save the consoles. Then, consider dropping the lower tier dilithium ships. I would NOT drop any of the lockbox or event ships. If all you have left is the T5-U, T6, lockbox and event ships, then I am out of ideas.

I appreciate the suggestions and am following them. They are only a short term solution, however. Yet another ship is coming with the winter event (sounds like a good one) and I have lots of fleet ships, lock box ships and event ships. Of those, I SUPPOSE I could discharge the fleet ships and purchase them again later but that gets expensive. As for older, lower tier ships, I do actually rotate through these for solo content. Fluing multiple ships is a big draw to the game for me.

Agreed. Any Zen-purchased ships should be reclaimable, so I would drop any of those that you have - including non-Fleet T5U's if they have no mastery on them (the upgrades are also an account unlock). The only such ships which would cost to replace are Fleet ones.

Anything T4 or lower, including the free rank-up ships and the mission reward T3 Ambassador, you're unlikely to actively use again anyway, so I would also drop those.

Also, check on shuttles too. I believe they use the same slots pool.

That would leave you with the following -
    - any non-Zen-purchaseable T5 ships you have (lockbox, event, etc.)
    - any T5U ships you have started mastery on (if you're still hard up for slots, these would be next)
    - any Fleet T5 or T5U ships
    - any T6 ships

But ZEN ships are reclaimable, you can even get full mastery with it, drop it, reclaim and still had full mastery.

While I agree with (and appreciate) your list, it doesn't solve the problem. I have nearly all fleet ships, lock box ships, lops ships and event reward ships.

If I discharge the Fleet Ships, I'll have to repurchase them again. Same with Lobi ships. Lock and event ships can't be repurchased.

The problem continues to grow, as well. Every year, Cryptic introduces a dozen or more ships into the game, yet the number of slots we can purchase remains static. If they don't want to start losing money, they need to do away with the limit of ship slots I can buy.

If not, I won't continue to buy C-store ships. I won't buy keys from the C-store because the main reason I open boxes is for ships and (for ships). I won't buy ship modules because I won't have a slot for Fleet ships. Additionally, I often buy the most expensive game upgrades because they come with free ships. No need for that if I don't have slots for them.

Since it appears to be difficult to add more ship slots, I've started another thread, asking for the ability to relaim any ship we have previously owned. Check it out and lend your support please.

If i may. I think i have a perfect and a simple solution.
Boxing the ship would cost 250 Zen everytime (this is the price of buying the ship slot anyway). And the box would be character bound.

Win - win for everyone involved.
