Account Server maintenance

Has cryptic posted anything about this?

    It's flat-out down. No lag, no nothing, as soon as the hour ticked over I get a SNR and now cannot connect. The few times it even gets past the login, I can barely get to my character selection screen, and actually choosing any single char to hit "play" with results in a disconnect notice.

    100% down right now.


    EDIT: Correction, after many many failed attempts and a long long delay, it finally let me log in. Then it held me on the loading screen for ages while it patched files, and after several minutes showed me in ESD. Only... I'm getting major lag and SNR notices left and right.


    Edit 2: the holy hell I am in when I try to move is astoundingly bad. There must be a packet loss rating that exceeds 100%, because I have stopped moving and yet continue to rubber band ALL OVER ESD for minutes on end. Even in areas I never tried to go!!!

    This for me for the first 15 minutes, now it wont authenticate or do anything with the launcher

    Almost an hour in and it finally seems to have settled down. Still a bit warpy, but it's tolerable right now.

    When logging into the game, I saw the following announcement on the launcher:

    "We will be performing Account Server maintenance on 11/21/2014 from 7-9 AM PST (1500-1700 UTC). Please check the forums for more information"

    Is this supposed to be referring to yesterday's maintenance or the upcoming one tonight?

    I've not seen any notes w.r.t. this though

    Is a part of me hoping they reverse the XP thing, and make it much more "fun".

    Because if that is the case, I'll have an Eclipse by the end of today and be loving it.

    Nobody knows, no notes.. so probably be 250K per spec point. :rolleyes:

    It says Account Server maintenance, so I assume this patch would be related to the threads about some people not being able to login.
    I completed a 2-man CSE, ISE, and KASE, Optionals included. And I soloed Winter Invasion.

    without patch notes everything is speculation....


    Arc defender was announced on twitter so more than likely it is incorporation of that into the account control....

    It does seem rather similar to Steam Guard.
    I completed a 2-man CSE, ISE, and KASE, Optionals included. And I soloed Winter Invasion.

    Got this warning in the Launcher that today from 7-9AM will be account server maintenance. I assume of course that no Zen purchases will be allowed during that time.

    But will login/logout to the game be affected? The launcher says to "check the forums" - I looked in the Galactic News Network where I usually look for interruptions and saw nothing.

    What forum should I look in?

    Maybe an emergency patch so that Geko's posted numbers match the numbers of whats going on in game? lol

    They are doing Login Server Maintenance. If a Patch is add it will be, at best, nothing but a stability code change for the Login Server - most likely to deal with the slow downloads.
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    they need to feed the hamster some times.

    When I think about everything we've been through together,

    maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

     and if that journey takes a little longer,

    so we can do something we all believe in,

     I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

    Probably gonna nerf my ship again.....day one in my T6 Guardian with mk11 and mk12 weapons I was doing 24k+ DPS, as I improve my weapons to mk13 and mk14 my DPS has dropped to 12-14k DPS. :rolleyes:

    forums have no communication.
