Winter Event Level Requirement

I suppose the question here is obvious (as it's in the title) but I've recently created another Republic character to casually level up with, and he's a Science Character, though the Republic seemingly lack Science Ships - and I don't have the funds for a Lock Box Ship.

As a compromise, and to try something different, I thought I might take a look at the two (or three?) Breen ships, though the character in question is (currently) only level #12, and I'm wondering what the minimum level requirement is for the Winter Event.

I would imagine I've plenty of time to level this new character up all the way to #60, but as stated above, I'm casually leveling him. If it means that I might have to speed up just enough to get into the event, then I can do that, but if the event is of the higher levels (#50?) then I'll just wait until next year.

Does anyone know? Or remember?

    If memory serves, it's somewhere between level 5 and 15, but I am not entirely sure.
    Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...

    my lizard toon, slaassh is never gotten beyond level 18 for some time now, hes already gone and done the winter event and summer event in that time, so im assuming level 10 minimum.
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.
    Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

    This is Wonderful news. It would seem I'll only need to achieve level #18 minimum, which should be more than do-able.

    The two playable Breen ships are a raider and a battle cruise, not realy sci ships either

    with a bit of luck there will be a third ship available this year, but I'm not holding my breath. the Sarr Theln would be nice, but that would mean making the fighters available too.



    Regarding the level, I seen to remember it was level 10

    you can get to level 20 pretty easily in an afternoon if you realy put you mind to it

    I know, but the Chel Grett has a Lt.Cmd Sci which I can make use of. I'll just have to play a Tactical-orientated Science Character until such a time that Cryptic release an actual Republic Science Ship.

    slaassh currently holds on to a risian corvette and a breen plesh, long way from getting anywhere near em, but still very much has em, he can get the cruiser without issue... assuming its not being removed.

    so yeah, there it is. wonder whats next for the winter event.

    I get it but come on. The dyson ships are science ships. They even have faction skins now. The Republic and KDF has science ships now.

    to the best of my knowledge the level you are at is unimportant, you can still get the ship package you just cant open it till you are the right level, and as far as i know thats level 40.

    only thing is if its T5 you cant upgrade it to T5u till you reach level 50 but the bonus is it will be a free upgrade, and if everyone gets what they are hopping for a T6 ship that will also be level 50 before you can open it.

    When I think about everything we've been through together,

    maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

     and if that journey takes a little longer,

    so we can do something we all believe in,

     I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

    The Ha'anom is a sci vessel, but the bog standard ships, for all factions aren't the best, but then if they were you wouldn't need to buy the upgrades.

    its level 10. but for rom you have to do that mission where you choose fed or kdf for alliance. so no free roms can get winter rewards...

    The Dyson ships are ridiculous and fugly; they're a gimmick, that's all. Best suited to buy as a pack (for the consoles) though I wouldn't dare spend that much money on a pack of ships considering they're soon to be outdated anyway. FED & KDF have a fair selection of ships at level #50, and for all skills. The Republic lacks that.

    The Ha'nom turns like a TRIBBLE, and isn't that appealing on the eyes. I don't want to be flying giant space hulks either.
