I have mine upgraded to XIV and they seem to be putting out good damage, should I keep them or replace them with another Dual Fleet HC?

I have no experience with the Quad Cannons, but if I remember correctly, they draw their power from the Engines instead of Weapons. If they're decent guns, I'd say keep 'em.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

The quads' biggest flaws are their [dmg]x4 mods and the lack of built-in extra critical damage that DHCs get. Those are minor issues in the scheme of things, and they sound awesome, so keep 'em unless you're going into min/max territory.
-The mods suck dmgx4
-They use the DC power drain cycle instead of the superior DHC cycle
- -10 engine power can make getting amp harder.
On a fresh romulan without sro's or any uni consoles vs a mk xi rare dhc with ctrd/acc, mk xii quad plasmas did less damage then a mk xi rare dhc on a parser.
With sro's and uni crth/crtd consoles plus fleet tac consoles the dhc with crtd will pull ahead even more and a vr crtdx3 dhc it would be miles ahead.
The one plus is they look and sound nice if they would only remove the 1 per ship restriction and give you a choice of mods or make dmg a mod that is not worthless.
