Didnt you know? all those trying to log in early were determined by the staff to be exploiting the system as taking advantage of a system not working as intended and log in privileges have been revoked.
really just joking chill out and wait stuff happens all the time we should be used to it by now.
SO take a CHILL PILL PEEPS
Trophies for killing FEDS ahh those were the days.
they cant even do maintance without breaking it
and the maintance was 3 and half hours, unbelieveable. now i wonder how long its going to be broken for
I can't believe that you people, yeah, I said YOU PEOPLE, are not use to this by now. Let me break it down for you.
Thursday = Patch Day = Login trouble, random kicks, crash to desk top, messed up rewards, game play issues, and more kicks.
Friday = more of the same for many, but not all and perhaps complaints about what ever the event for the week end is not working.
Saturday = you should probably have another game on your computer to play as the server kicks and crash to desk top issues are now in full swing.
Sunday = your day to play all day and your inability to do so.
Monday = your so happy to go back to work or school as the game is not working
Tuesday = It's time to renew your account so you sit looking at the renew button for about an hour and finally give in and click it because the thought of going back to World of ******** is more than you can deal with now.
Wednesday = you can play but don't have the time but the game is working flawlessly
Thursday = rinse and repeat
Free players are the winners here, gold accounts are only out a few bucks a month if they don't get addicted to Zen. But the poor dumb butts like me that got the life time membership have bought a one way ticket to hell
Lifetime Member = a life time of playing one day a week that the server and game actually work as intended, but soon you end up praying that the company will go out of business so you can justify never playing again.
I take full responsibility for this, I predicted it'd take the servers a full hour before they crashed... my optimism must have upset the delicate fail balance that Cryptic abides by, I do apologise!
Of course I've been having issues connecting to the "Account Server" for weeks now. I even installed Arc thinking that might help (STO was previously installed under Steam). But logging in becomes non-responsive two times out of three. So this feels so SNAFU.
I asked my Science officer for an analysis of the situation and he replied:
Based on previous performance the odds of an actual repair are 1 in 2457.
Odds of something new breaking. 43.3%
Odds of a nerf... 99.99%
Heard that some PvP whiners are crying that Carrier Pets are overpowered ... There's your next nerf.
Btw, if anyone is curious as to WHY carrier pets seem powerful ... maybe it is because they are SUPPOSED to be about 50 to 60 percent of a carrier's DPS ability. It's not like you can't obliterate them easily with just a SMALL amount of strategic thinking.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: "The Force is strong on weak minds."
you can only change to your shuttle in a zone. to change ships you have be in sector space. so when you say you tried then beamed down it sounds like you were in zone space and if so you should be fine, cause it dont sound like it was doing anything it was not supposed to do.
No, I logged out this morning in DS9 next to the ship selector, when I tried to swap ships there were none listed except for the shuttle and my current ship.... At any rate I'm none too worried about it, I'm sure that will be resolved when the game is back up.
That assumes that the game will still be here when event next repeats in 6months/1year
On the basis of its current state I am not so sure of this:P
Tell me about it. Why is it that Cryptic STILL refuses to understand the simple law of MMOs:
Events are good. Recurring events are better. Scheduled recurring events are the best, as long as they repeat at an interval that allows them to be enjoyable.
Why in Spock's name do we have weekend events only every other weekend? Is it really so hard to understand that this game would draw more ex-players back if the events were regularly scheduled, AND that there wasn't a "Twiddle Your Thumbs Weekend", between every event?

"If this will be our end, then I will have them make SUCH an end as to be worthy of rememberance! Out of torpedos you say?! Find me the ferengi!".
Me: Ok, seems resonable.
Server: *dead*
Me: You took an extra hour this time and THIS was the result?!? -.-
Cryptic: We maintain that the maintenance maintains maintaining!
Me: O.o dafuq? Just, ugh, please, just get it go - oh what's the point? -.-

I can wait if they really fix something...

Cryptic now has a 94% chance to upgrade their patch to [Epic] Fail.
If this downtime had not happened, I would have completed the Mirror Event 2-3 hours before my flight.
THANKS CRYPTIC

Ouch. I thought it would have only been Ultra-Rare ... Legendary at the best.
You just KNOW that there is some little troll out there that read your post and is trying to understand why thinking would be on a drop table......

Damnit, I read your post wrong and dropped my thinking on the table, now I have a bump.

I bet that server will be back after you've watched this video ...

It keeps looping but I just can't stop watching, *sigh*, when the server goes up, I want to be just like them. :P
