Dual Corrosive Plasma Beam Banks missing Corrosive Proc

I haven't really noticed it until recently, but the Corrosive Plasma Dual Beam Banks are missing the Corrosive Proc in their description, and possibly in actual combat as well.

I haven't done detailed testing, but aside from the tooltip for the weapon not showing the two Corrosive Plasma procs on other weapons, I've noticed that any time I'm firing a full forward set of Corrosive Plasma DBBs, I have yet to get any of the Corrosive Plasma procs at all. However, when I'm turning around for another attack run and am attacking with my rear Corrosive Plasma Beam Arrays, I notice that the procs sometimes appears as intended.

Did you upgrade them recently? [proc]'s have been known to disappear...

I did not upgrade them at all; they all were either fresh from the box or from the exchange.

Upon paying a bit more attention, I do notice a "[Something] Fire" debuff at times. I'm not sure if that's the Corrosive part or the Plasma part of the Corrosive Plasma weapons.

Still, the tooltip for the DBBs do not display the specials that the rest of the weapon series are displaying.

Are you a tac captain? Might be the Crippling Fire debuff.

Would love to see this fixed, though. I went ahead and submitted an in-game bug report too, but I can't be sure if the missing proc is a text error or if it is actually missing its proc. I've never seen it proc, but I could just be unlucky.

    check your reputation store

if you go to the romulan store the dual beam banks there are also missing a proc

and it's not just the store listing, I bought one to try it out, it's not there

anyone can confirm this in 2 seconds

could we get these looked at?

Yup, shelved my Romulan dbb build until this is fixed. It is not just the DBB from the Rommie store, either, the ones coming out of project requisition boxes are missing it as well. Both Mk XI and Mk XII. I've also never had it proc during my testing, so I am either very unlucky or the Romulan DBB are actually missing their proc.

    Fixed!

Turns out that this weapon was internally flagged as "Phaser" instead of "Plasma" so wasn't able to use the proc that was attached to it. This fix should show up in a future patch, so watch for the patch notes!

When you say "this weapon" do you mean Corrosive Plasma DBBs, or all Plasma DBBs in general, because all Plasma DBBs are missing their proc - even the ones in the Romulan rep store.

The Lobi store corrosive torpedo is ALSO missing its plasma proc.

Actually, they are missing both of their Procs. Plasma burn and Resistance debuff.

So there have been two patches since Jeremy's post that this has been fixed and just waiting on it to get rolled live... PLease can we get an update on this?

I have a scimitar with rom plas DBBS that is missing a good portion of its teeth because of this error.

Thanks man, always good to see stuff like that. I mean, (a) someone looking into it, (b) fixing the out of place code, and (c) communication! It's a trifecta of coolness. But, it sounds like there might be a few more bits of misplaced code. Good luck with the wack-a-mole debugging.

We are currently developing on three (maybe four?) separate software branches of our code, and so getting specific changes into builds that go live to Holodeck is currently a tricky, case-by-case matter.

The good news is that we're consolidating soon, so many "missing" fixes are likely going to show up within the next week or two, and hopefully with more alacrity after that.

... until we end up in a similar situation again, which is not unlikely. The multi-branch process is a necessity of live development. We just have to live with some of the obstacles it entails.

Oh, your merges must be fun.

As I have said before - thank you very much for the updates - really appreciated.
I understand the issues with working with multiple versions of code and hope that the consolidation efforts for the various fixes goes ok!

    2) Anniversary
    3) Next release
    4) Release after that

They should say we will fix this issue, right when we release the new secondary deflectors!

I sure hope so. Sometimes it's hair-pullingly frustrating to see a bug that'd already been fixed months ago reappear because a merge didn't happen when a different branch hits holodeck (usually when a new season comes out)(such as that full impulse lockout issue that returned with DR, or the joysticks/gamepads re-breaking).
