The last two time playing the Party Event, am unable to beam up from Star Fleet Academy after completion. I initially beam down from Earth Space Dock, but cannot beam back up once the event is completed. (I have a Romulan character). In order to return to Earth space dock, I must return to Romulus and return to Sol via space or Transwarp. Kind of annoying.
UPDATE:
I've been unable to reproduce this. The Beam to Ship button by the mini-map is disabled on the Academy maps, but there is another button in the Low Priority Interaction area (by default at the lower right edge of the screen) that does allow beam up to the Starbase, Sol System or to the Sector map.
Ive had this happen every once in a blue moon, I seem to recall I fixed it by changing instances, but its possible that I logged out and back in 5m later, I would try changing instances first

Sometimes it's happened to me that those 'Low Priority' buttons disappeared. It usually can be fixed by opening a 'special' window like the replicator (from the inventory), or Department Heads doff assignement lists and then closing it. Then those missing buttons typically reappear.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep looking but it sounds like this will take a while to track down.

Here's a question for you:
Is it possible to "unify" the functionality of beaming up to ship/sector space/whatever, so that you always leave the map, the same way regardless of your location?
It's silly to have to use the "Low Priority Interaction" button on some maps, while using the (falsely labeled) "Abort Mission" button next to the minimap, on other maps.
Further, if your on the ground, you should ALWAYS have the option to beam up to your ship OR to Sector Space.

I've had this happen with the 'leave orbit' button sometimes around New Romulus and ESD, also fixed by changing instances... unfortunately while I know the workaround, I also can't suggest ways to reliably reproduce it.
Doesn't sound like the same sort of issue since you beamed down from esd to academy.. but when I am on my fleet base with one toon and switch to another I have to change instance before I can leave the map.

This is not limited to Star Fleet Academy (but possibly to Romulan characters, as both instances of mine were on my Romulan)
The first time I experienced this was in DS9 Space. After beaming up from DS9 I could not leave the system by any means (not even transwarping to Sol) and could also not beam back to DS9. That instance was a while back and that is all the specifics I know (I may have filed a bug report in game, not sure)
The other time was, I believe, last week, maybe slightly longer or shorter, my days run together a lot these days, but that one I did file an in game bug report (Ticket ID #2,285,804 if it provides any game data to the devs in addition to what I am about to say)
That time, I used a transwarp to get to the Federation Fleet Starbase, upon entering the system I pressed the Dock button, which disappeared for a couple of seconds and then reappeared. I tried this several times from several locations in the system. I tried the "Return to Sector Space" button several times as well and it did the same thing (disappeared briefly then reappeared). After my initial transwarp cooldown expired I tried to Transwarp to Sol, my ship went through the transwarp "cut-scene" animation and disappeared, only to reappear back in the same spot seconds later. I checked, and that attempt at transwarp did indeed activate my cooldown, even though I didn't actually go anywhere. In order to fix the problem I had to log out of the character and then back in.
Again, in all the time I have played it has only happened to me twice (both times with my Federation Romulan Character (which granted is the one I use the most now)).
Yes, just encountered this myself. I'm on my fed character, on esd atm. And I cant beam up into space. The beam up button, with the cursor over it states the following "Abort Mission (canceled)". And the button is greyed out.

I have encountered this problem, and I find it associated with what appears to be a memory leak/buffer overrun in the Doff UI...
I routinely process over a 100 Doff at a time from recruitment assignments from my numerous Alts to sort and process for Fleet Projects. If a character receives enough new Doffs, either from Email attachments or recruitment assignments (number is over 50), the new Doffs no longer appear in the 'Request Duty Officer' tab of the Doff UI, but still show up in the 'Duty Officer' tab. Other UI artifacts, such as a missing 'Beam Out' button also can occur.
Exiting the STO Client, then restarting always corrects the problem...
Hello, sorry to revive old threads, I know this isn't allowed, but I am really desperate and I can't make new threads, I am unable to teleport out of space dock from starfleet academy, the buttons are greyed out, I have tried everything I can, I am stuck in the tutorial mission "Welcome to space dock" where you have to meet the admiral quinn, where I accidentally pressed go the the academy, can a mod reset my move back to the original please, I really am unsure of what to do, again apologies for reviving old threads, but I was really desperate, so if there is a warning strike, I understand.
Yes, right now there is a pack of players, stuck in Academy. Replicators and restart not fix the problem. Low Priority Interaction window missing. Beam-up button disabled. Maybe, enable this button not so bad idea? For lowlevels just complete tutorial there is no way get out from Academy, if they get there.
Wow so it aint just me.
This is the reply I got... Is it just me or is this "solution" just lazy and bs.
Thank you for contacting us. We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with this Tutorial Mission.
Unfortunately, with being such a new Character, if you get stuck within these first few missions, you may need to re-create your Character. We also advise following the tutorial in the order it was presented and refrain from deviating from any of it until you have finished all the tutorial missions. In addition to that, please let the cinematics (if any) run to the end to ensure that the mission updates correctly.
A tip: When you repeat the tutorial, please do not beam down to Starfleet Academy (i.e. do not press "press F" or click the "Beam Down to Starfleet Academy" button when you reach the mission "Welcome to Earth Spacedock". The area where you are transferred into after your Borg encounter is already Earth Spacedock (ESD), kindly let the short cinematic finish to know where to find Admiral Quinn or you can follow the 'blue line' guide which leads to Admiral Quinn.
I also recommend posting this particular issue in our Gameplay Bug Reports forum:
Surely a quest reset, or a free beam to my ship would not be that hard to organise...what a joke.
I have the same problem , I am stucked with my Romulan char in SF-academy (didn't played in a time with him , I let him in academy last time I played) and I can't beam up nor I can't transwarp no where , I can visit my bridge and select my shuttle , but nothing happens ...
first I thought that my ship maybe is in New Romulus , cause the last time I played , was when the Q-Winter-events and I used Q's portal to teleport to NR and back ....
at least , I can make the Lore and doff-assignments ....
anyways , it's only an alt I use to get dilithium , doff's and commodities for my main starfleet-char ... but even so , it's annoying to been stuck there ...
hello everyone, starfleet tactician here. i just started the game, did a couple of missions and the last was to go see general quinn or something along those lines.
after docking my ship, i accidentally beamed down star fleet academy (well the more correct version would be that i still do not know exactly what i'm doing in this game so..well just pressed F like an idiot thinking it would warp me directly to the general's location.
now i'm in the starfleet academy and cannot leave no matter what i do...
tell me please, is it worth waiting for a GM? or should i just create another toon and restart?
Transwarp to mission will get you out. (If you're a Romulan, replay "Helix", transwarp to the system for 0 ec, then drop the mission. I haven't had this happen with my Andorian, so Feddies are on your own.)
There's a patch for this on Tribble right now, so it might get fixed tomorrow.

It's a joke because they "can't" fix the bug/s...thats the joke. Just rewind the quest or move toon...something that all other mmo gm's do in a heartbeat.
I received the same "resolution" as fmgrendel666 to start a new character and concur with the previous poster that the GM should be able to relocate the player to someplace before the Return to Earth Spacedock/Speak to Admiral Quinn mission.
This will be just great for them with this weekend's bonus mission at the Academy... and with them trying to sell lifetime subscriptions.
Two potential fixes:
1. Disable the transporter contact in ESD until you've spoken to Quinn. Conditional contacts are commonplace (even at STA).
2. Enable an emergency beam-up for early players until the bugs is/are "fixed"--it sounds like the mechanism is there from previous posters who are more advanced... Frame it as an engineering work-around, we're used to it!
I'm sure there are plenty more...
I wonder if there's a support channel to Marketing?

Picture to show..
as you can see in the picture, its greyed out and my cursor is over the button. There is no way for me to beam up.
-few minutes later-
I did try to relocate to another zone, which fixed the issue.
