hierarchy boff reward incorrect faction bug

Got the Hierarchy boff as a reward for completing one of the story quests, but it has the incorrect faction set - I'm KDF, the boff is tagged as a FED boff (even tho I have him in my roster)

Because of that, I can`t change his skills at the boff trainer :/

Has this been fixed? I don't want to take the reward yet because I'm KDF.

I couldn't wait anymore lol, so I did the mission. Yeah same as above, I'm KDF and the boff is tagged as Starfleet. This is for the Alliances mission.

He's tagged the wrong faction for my KDF character as well.

But this isn't the only problem he has, although at least one is obviously related:

As a Starfleet Intel officer, he can wear all the Starfleet uniforms available to me, but none of the KDF ones.

This also includes Voth armor, Counter Command Armor, and strangely enough the MACO costume.

There's also issues of missing textures with certain ones, which makes me wonder if he's supposed to be customizable at all? If I change his costume, I can't give him the original one back.

And I can only level up his Intel skills, the game utterly refuses to let me put points in his Sci skills. I was otherwise able to promote him as normal.

I don't have an intel ship to test and see if he could work in it, and I've yet to try to beam him down on a ground mission, but I've heard and seen reports of him not working properly on either.

From what people said in Zone chat, he works fine for Fed Romulans and Federation characters, however. I don't have either high enough to try and get him and see for myself yet.

I can confirm he works in T6 Intel ships for KDF.

Yeah, definitely think he's not supposed to be editable like the Jem'Hadar/Breen/Reman reward BOFFS.

Hope they make him reclaimable if dismissed.

    Same problem...
KDF side character rewarded starfleet allied Hierarachy sci/intel officer from the "Alliances" mission.
Can't be trained in science skills. Only in intel skills.
    Starfleet costume options.

while it'd be disappointing if he wasn't supposed to be editable at least in some capacity, i don't think this was intended.

edit: then again, they do seem to have other varieties of uniforms. i saw at least one npc hierarchy potato using a nonstandard outfit, something i never saw for jem hadar, breen or nelen exil.

maybe the tailor simply needs some adjustments. lock out some of the skin/head change options, increase limits on sliders so they don't go into absurdity, and in the end add a hierarchy-specific uniform to hierarchy boffs that only he can use like how only nausicaans can have nausicaan armor and done.

fully functional boff, not like the cookie cutter ones like the jem hadar, borg drone or breen that were probably just lifted off regular enemy models without much work put into them.
Now clowns, that's another story. They scare the crap out of me.
We fight them too. Entire armies spilling out of Volkswagens.
We do our best to fight them off, but they keep sending them in.

This boff also has the pirate and the efficient trait. I'm assuming pirate is Klingon only, and efficient Starfleet? It doesn't look like I can train him in skills or use him on ground missions, probably because he's listed as Starfleet and not Klingon.

nope, it's the same for both as far as i can tell. fed gets both efficient and pirate, in addition to superior accute senses and superior covert.

I haven't been able to replicate the issue as reported. I did run into an issue during internal testing that has been reported elsewhere - that Rom-KDF captains can't train Boffs. Are these two issues being conflated? Or can somebody shed additional light on the above claim?

In internal testing, a KDF character was able to recruit, train and use the Hierarchy Boff as expected.

If you take him to the BOFF Skills trainer on Qo'nos in the First City Barracks and try and train him in any Science skills it reports that he can't be trained.

He can ONLY be trained in Intelligence skills.

    Normal skills do not work.

For example: I went to the skill trainer, and tried to train him in Hazard Emitters 1, and it was greyed out. It said, "This officer cannot learn this skill".

Is this a bridge officer that can only use/learn Intelligence skills?

Also, when beaming down to the Dyson sphere ground battlezone, his name is not on the list of bridge officers to select. I can however, put him in a bridge station on my ship.

So, intelligence skills can be trained, regular normal ones cannot.

This is what my skills looked like for my Commander Heirarchy Bridge Officer:

You cannot put points in the normal skills, and cannot train normal skills from a trainer.

This is what my skills looked like after I trained him in all Intelligence skills.

The graphical UI fixed itself after intelligence skills were trained.

This is all for a Klingon faction character.

    So, something is weird. :P

I have also encountered the issues described in this thread.

However I found it seems the Hierarchy Boff can be assigned to a ship boff slot. On another note, there's two more bugs with him: 1) the box he comes in is labeled as containing a Duty officer; 2) his clothing options seem buggy, not showing his original attire yet (on KDF) allowing FED clothes.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

Yeah this is a buggy Boff. Something I would add is that Clothing options are more than a little buggy. All sorts of uniform clipping ect. Hope it gets fixed.

    Besides that and somewhat related:

I also got a Federation aligned "Doctor" Nurse DOFF.

Please make him a Medic for the KDF, otherwise its a kinda useless "reward".

I encountered this issue on a Romulan-KDF aligned captain. I can verify the rewarded Hierarchy Science/Intelligence bridge officer as of today’s patch is still flagged as Starfleet. The results of this appear to be that I am unable to increase or his Intelligence skills.

I hope there will be someway to reclaim him when the issue is resolved. :(

Is his commander intel ability supposed to be usable in the Lt slot? I can run surgical strike 2 on my mahta raptor? Can confirm untrainable and also I can't select him for away team as kdf.

KDF Engineer here. Also having my hierarchy boff as starfleet. Can train up one ground skill, but can't promote him or train any other skill. Add me to the list of bugged problems.

According to the patch notes, they fixed the Hierarchy BOFF issues on Tribble. Hopefully it all works there so they can bring it to Holodeck.
