Workaround for disappearing traits, abilities, loadouts

I've posted this a few times now and have received pretty good results. A couple people it did not work for completely but at least it helped. Before this the game was unplayable.

From what I've found during the Delta Rising database update the loudouts of some users were corrupted. Either they are locked to some previous layout which can't be modified, have some kind weird layout that you've never used before, or just empty.

This also happens to people that have not used the loadouts at all, but has still corrupted there default loadout.

Please try this temp workaround and let me know if it works. It's worked for my fleet mates and others so far.

Step 1 - Re-setup ship the way you want, trays, boffs, etc.(Make sure to set your auto-fire prior to saving)

Step 2 - Make sure your trays are "unlocked"

Step 3 - Rename both/all loadout's to "Temp 1" "Temp 2" etc (Most Important step)

Step 4 - Save your new setup to both/all loadout's named "Temp 1" "Temp 2" etc

Step 5 - Switch your ship and Test

Step 6 - If successful rename and setup accordingly.
Here are a couple pics

Have done so for Tier-5 existing, Tier-5U and Tier-6 ships. Now all working correctly.

Let me know if successful and good luck!

This does absolutely nothing for me personally. No matter how many loadouts I make, the game links them all together, overwrites all of them as soon as I save one, and overwrites them all as soon as it decides to scramble itself again.

I've tried this method more than several times. It does not work for me, either.

I have found a way.. Seems to be working for me. So I'll share it.. ;)

Once you do what was suggested: clearing and saving etc.. Before you beam down to any planet in any mission or non-mission. Save your layout. You have to remember to do this prior to beaming down.

Remember every-time to save and then beam-down. When you return save the layout again. Beam to your favorite space dock station save your layout while in space.

Until they increase whatever storage system they're using memory more like it. Or storage space. This is what you going to have to do like I am doing. I've done this for the one ship I have to fly only. Because once you introduce another ship it's going to use up that memory allocation space.

I guess the point you're missing here is that

    WE

    SHOULDN'T

    HAVE

    TO

    DO

    A WORKAROUND.

It's a bug they've fixed before, that crept back into the code because of poor QA and zero follow-up to the bug reports from tribble.

Pardon my sense of entitlement, but I should think that a fixing a bug that forced players to reslot their skills, weapons, and traits everytime they changed maps should be a TOP PRIORITY.

I'm not missing any point. Obviously this issue needs to be fixed. The point of this thread is to hopefully help a few people at least make the game playable until a fix is found not to ***** to Cryptic.

    It kinda-sorta worked for me.

Everything stayed put except my choice of Space DOffs.

They are completely removed whenever I switch between my two loadouts or beam down to a Ground map...

Funny thing is, my Ground DOffs DON'T change/go away ever.

Stoopid me... I switched to a shuttlecraft... :o

My stuff is staying put now.

    Thanks 8-)

Nope, didn't work for me, still shuffles things.

Mostly moves things from set bonuses and warp core capacitors.

this wont work, because you are doing the workaround the wrong way. you even made a screenshot about how you are doing it wrong lol

if you would know what you are doing, you would notice that after saving the loadouts, all your loadouts get active at the same time. thats the bug. thats why its being messed up. your workaround doesnt work because you didnt know about this fact.

Im realy sick of people who posting workarounds wich dont work, or just work by chance.

Actually no. The issue with alot of people but not all is that the loadout's are corrupt. There is no way to delete the loadout's, so renaming them and then re-saving has fixed the issue for many. 14 people have confirmed that this has help them.

As stated above this is not a fix, but to hopefully help a few people get by.

So for this work around the pictures are correct.

    Give it a rest Troll.
