Did an upgrade on the weapon hoping that might fix it... no change. still doesn't work. At this point Ive spend 1000s of dilith on this pistol I cant use
I imported this character to a local server, and still am not experiencing the errors being reported here. Your Mk XIII Blue Type 2 Phaser works just fine when tried out in ground combat.
There's gotta be something else going on here that's not being properly noted in these bug reports.

Im chenchuan@chenchuan . Its the repeater pistol. Its in a ticket. Imo this is part of the tray issues. BOs can use it fine but when I equip get romulan symbols and the mouse over is some traits. I dont know what more we can report. We equip the weapon and it doesnt work

With the weapon equipped, have you tried just dragging the powers back to the hotbar from your powers window (default 'P')? I have noticed that sometimes traits get 'equipped' on hot bar slots, but you can just drag them off and replace them with what's supposed to be there.

Colonel If you could maybe Include a Screenshot Taken on the Ground
I would Suggest Opening your Character Window and Hovering your Mouse over the Weapon in Question so that the Large Info Screen becomes Visible, If you can place it so that the Hotbar is Still Visible That would be Usefull proobably too.
For Example I linked a screenshot I had to take for an earlier bug that got fixed.

However when I open my powers window, where the primary and secondary fire features should be are the Traits in my tray. In my case Founders Foil and Shattered. I don't have the ability to do as you suggested

while having the Powers window open, if I slot another weapon, the primary and secondary fire options change to other powers, the symbol is correct but it list other abilities or traits. If I drag those to the tray they are the ability advertised and not primary/secondary. If I close the window and reopen they are back to being the correct primary and secondaries - except for the Repeater pistol that still show the two traits.
After Upgrading my Polarized Disruptor Split Beam Rifle MK XI to XII the Game doesent recognize it as a Weapon anymore and uses Melee Icons and the MK II Model (i believe) for the weapon. The Rifle cannot be fired.
my TOS type 2 phaser is also having similar issues. I got it upgraded to to mk13 or 14 blue i think and now the tray icons tell me i have a +2% ability to something. If I hit the "P" button, the phaser settings read as "null". any help to get this up to par is appreciated. i've spent a lot of dilithium to upgrade it...
just got thru with another round of circular logic with customer service. They cant (wont) help me. They just tell me to file a bug report and suggest I post to this forum. So rather than start another thread I am posting here like I was told.
it sounds like it's related to the loadout bug where abilities aren't properly slotted and you ended up with other abilities or traits put in instead.
that's what we all thought MONTHS ago, but the dev didn't have the issue when he tried someone's weapon and the issue just kind of died after that for them it seems.
Since BOs can use the "bugged" weapons it would seem to be related to the player and not the weapon itself.
Those of us with the issue have often spent a lot of resources on buying and upgrading.
I guess its going to be like the load outs, just go on until it effects every other player

Bort, I have some more info on this weird bug. I have it too on 2 of my Cap'n's. To get this part out of the way... I've sent in tickets and bug reports and the GM said to force verify which didn't work. I've also tried every fringe troubleshooting trick in the book with no luck.
But I have some info that *might* help you figure this one out. First it happened in-between Delta Rising's release day, and the day the update went out that made items go into their "dynamic" state when you rightclick and click Upgrade for the first time. That coupled with that it's the 2 guns that a breaking for people that use a totally unique mechanic, it uses fuel for the alt-fire, the Plasma Repeater Pistol and the Plasma Piercing Rifle.
So on release day of DR they were working fine, and on my Fed and my Romulan captain I rightclicked and clicked Upgrade to see what the upgraded Repeater Pistol and Piercing Rifle would look like respectively. But then a few days later, you remember that update that went out that made a blanket change where the moment you clicked Upgrade it turned any item into it's "dynamic" version, to fix a few issues with some items. That's when it broke. Both guns on my Fed and Romulan's Main-fire and Alt-fire are replaced with the default unarmed punch moves. Both on the bar and in the ability menu.
To top it off, my KDF captain has the EXACT same pistol as my FED captain, down to the same mods, but I didn't click the "Upgrade" button on that one during that time, and it works perfectly fine.
So something happened to those guns in-between release of DR and the "dynamic items" patch, and only to those guns that people clicked Upgrade on, and only some guns including the two that use the unique fuel mechanic.
Which wouldn't be so bad, but you literally can't get those guys anymore. You can only get them in white quality from vendors. Which would cost Millions of EC to get back to what we have now.
Thanks for anything you can do. Those unique guns genuinely make the ground combat for me, and I miss them and their satisfying as frell sounds and feel.

I'm not so sure. The issue seems to be "character" related. The devs copied the guns and they worked fine. You can give the gun to a BO and they work fine. So IMO this isn't the gun itself that's bugged but its a character issue related to all the other issues.
I was there when my pistol broke. Worked one second. Switched out weapons, Switched back and it was broken. The only thing I did was change between shooter mode and normal mode and change weapons.

I upgraded an IX version of one of the wide rifles. Got it up to an X version.
Tried it out and it works fine. No issues. The only difference between that and the pistol is the pistol has MAINTAINED and the wide doesn't. Im just wary of upgrading any more piercings.
So likely there is a TIME element involved. Maybe WHEN we upgraded is related to the bug.
I would have upgraded when we got the free gifts of upgrade kits. Sometime in Oct. Mine bugged out on the Kobali bridge so this was definitely just after they fixed that bug. Its likely I used a kit and then finished with dilithium.
But still I can give to the pistol to a BO and he can fire it fine
I know you are watching this post and working on the issue. I posted a bug report myself on a weapon not working. I also had an issue with environmental suit tray not turning on and off. I fixed the tray by having the suit on before beaming down to the mine. Im not sure if this helps any? It might be a power tray issue on the ground?

I tried Upgrading to MK XIII in hope this Problem would sort out itself, but the problem still is there.
Instead of Primary and Secondary fire options I still have traits listed instead.
I am very wary now of upgrading any ground weapons since what every happened to my pistol could happen to anything.
Is it possible for cryptic to replace our weapons for us while they figure out what is causing this???
