Ship stuck at 0 skill points.

It appears my Chimera is stuck at zero skill points. I upgraded the ship to T5-U and ran a mission with it and afterwords I'm still at "0 skill points to unlock Mastery Tier I". Is there something else I need to do before I start earning mastery skill points?

    You don't say which mission you ran but ship skill points are only earned from the space enemies killed with that ship. The mission rewards don't count at all.

    Ok, that might explain it. The mission stopped me just short of killing the enemies (it was the War Games mission from DS9). I assumed the ship would get some exp from the mission rewards as well.

    I guess the thing that concerned me was that it did not give me an number other then 0. I expected to see something like "5439 skill points to unlock Mastery Tier I". When something gets stuck at zero I start to think there are issues.
