Decloak Bug?

I purchased the Fed Intel escort. The ship decloakes as soon as I am at 10km of any NPC. I never had that issue with my defiant cloak. As soon as you are out of cloak you get hit instantly before shields turn on. What happened to the cloak bonus for that any way? Either way having a cloak is a death sentence. I have a romulan that gives 200 pts to stealth. Is that not enough?

    Based on the ship description, the passive stealth bonus an Intel ship has only applies when not using cloak.
    While this sounds counter-intuitive, it would grant you a very weak Mask Signature effect anytime you aren't cloaked.

    If you are being hit before your shields go back up, it sounds like they are detecting you while you are still cloaked.

    You might want to test the cloak out in a practice duel with someone.
    If they can spot you well outside 10km with the cloak enabled, it might mean that the passive Mask Signature stealth value is still applying while cloaked and is being given priority for detection purposes over the Cloak stealth value.

    I ran a test in PVP with a fleet member. He could not see me until I was at 0 KM. His pets were 3 KM. Yet NPC is still 10 KM. It was consistent when I noticed the issue. I will run a few more missions and see what happens. It would be odd if this is NPC only.

    It took a while finding this bug report to update it. Apparently there are over 1k bugs reported since DR release?

    I made sure all of my ship powers / abilities were off. All I had turned on was the cloak. I got exactly 10km and got hit by a direct beam from the enemy ship. I tried again with the new intel power that does a cloak. Guess what? All it did was change my ships color. I was still getting attacked. :(

    NPC = don't use cloak. It will get you killed.

    Some NPCs have very high stealth detection values to the point of making cloaks useless. The Vaadwaur seem to be among these.
