Well I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but we're pretty much in the same place we were in September. Plus 2 new T6 ships, but you'd already know about those since they were announced a long time ago.
Anything you should be prepared for? Grpahic issues and crashes. (depends - you may or may not be caught by these) And bugs. Lots and lots of bugs. But I'm sure since you play STO you're kinda' used to these, especially during season/expansion launches.
Oh yeah, and insane difficulty levels. Be prepred for those. It's manageable, but until more and more players adapt, expect failed PvEs.
If you play STO these days, I highly recommend going about the stuff you usually do and not touching the "new" things, like Delta Quadrant, upgrade system and such. Give the devs another week to iron out the issues, I always do that myslef. End up with a much more pleasurable experience than the players that are currently stuck on some glitched missions.
You can get new ships though, they seem to work just fine. Just crosscheck layouts, stats and performance descriptions in several places (shipyard, C-Store description, blogs, STO Wiki) before you buy, since there seem to be some typos in descriptions that I don't know if they're fixed yet.
With the DR ques new damage requirements and the new T6 cookie-cutter ships I don't feel very Klingon anymore since being forced to park my battlecruiser and fly the Chel Grett. Either I respec to be back in the mold cryptic created for my toon or I bite the bullet and remain 'unique' and be a second class captain to the dps'ers. Maybe DR will get better when the fT-6's start coming out but all I see is turbo versions of very uninspiring role molded ships.
Warrior? I play an Orion. He doesn't believe in that honor baloney. He just flies around exploding enemy things. He did find it amusing that Kahless thought of him highly.

Orion or not you are in the Klingon Empire not the green TRIBBLE wagers brigade.
check out this >video< anything else and you might as well be playing starwars or some other sci fi game.
Trophies for killing FEDS ahh those were the days.

I figure it will take 2 lock box iterations before I get any T6 ships. My alt fleet will stay stuck in the past. The funny thing is right around the time they announced T6 I was assigning ships to my alts. That all went out the window. So I may get around to DR in the Spring...but from what I hear, I'm not missing much.

I am a Lethean scientist whose primary goal is to burrow deeply into the KDF command structure and subvert/dismantle it from the inside. To liberate my people from their Klingon oppressors.
I've played some of the PvE content and some of the "New! Improved!" STFs. I like the story so far. Jury is still out on the "New! Improved!" STFs but things look grim for them. Miniscule Dil awards for maximum amounts of mission time. Not really a fun situation for me. They aren't all bad, mind you. I like being shaken out of my complacency once in awhile. The "New! Improved!" STFs just feel like pwe/cryptic overshot the mark by a bit. Tough to walk the line between "good and challenging" and "players have to work too hard for success" sometimes.
A six year old boy and his starship. Living the dream.
All my generals are due for um...'retirement' I think. They have served the Empire well and with distinction so their retirements will be quick and honourable.
With a new expansion will come a new character. I have planned a new science captain who specialises in drains, debuffs and holds so will hopefully be a royal pain in the proverbial behind of these new tougher enemies down the road.
The Varanus is my ship of choice, so I think a full Gorn crew is in order. I also have the Zen I'd need to upgrade it to a fleet version, then a T5U version (I believe I need to do both to get the best out of the ship).
My Lt. General is tough and good guy at best as he always help other fallen players. I've taken him up to the main and last task on the Adventure Ground Zone Planet in DR with two Gorn's. Extremely tough to take out the enemy leaders up there with all the troops they have. One thing I do like about my KDF LTG is that I can carry all my combat pets with me.
Security III (endless) more than 3 on the ground
ENG Drones I, II, III (endless) if your have DOF that can beam down more drones.
Combat Pet (aka wolf/dog)
Combat Pet (adult horta)
Shard (clones of yourself)
So you got almost of Army of KDF running around up there. LOL

lol Your people practically begged the Klingon Empire to let them in, they were not conquered. It's what they wanted. They're not opressed by the Empire itself, but rather discriminated by the citizens living in the Empire, which is another thing entirely.

Obvious propaganda is obvious. :P
Still, Sa'Sogh Cha Herom, Honor Guard Elite, is really enjoyable to play. Seems to be the one char I have who is the least affected by the changes in Dilithium Retracting (Did not either mispronounce it, lol.)

Heh I just started a new Lethean, my first one actually, since I got a Kazon Raider for him. I look forward to eventually developing him to Honor Guard level.
Well after the duty roster part of the Talaxian mission (if you dont get the spice mission you get this one), my Ferasan wanted to dismember and feed on Talaxian entrails!! For the first time in y life I finally can sympathize with Tuvok and how irritated he must have felt all the time Neelix annoyed him!!
Oh and I didn't even bother explaining to the Malons later in the mission, straight went pew pew on those dirty buggers. As annoying as I found the Talaxians, I just cant stand those dumb polluters. So if you were to talk to the Malons what does happen btw?
We still live!!!!! Hahahahahahahahaa! We live and we will conquer!!!!! Hahahahahaaha!
-Roach, when asked about Klingon extinction!
Just got done with 'Reunion'. I now well understand how exasperated Tuvok was. I also commend him for his restraint. After the seventh or eighth time, I would probably pull a phaser from the nearest arms locker and start shooting.
Still, it was pleasant to see that some things are a constant in the Universe. Fish gotta swim. Birds gotta fly. Talaxians gotta be annoying.
What's that? You thought you heard a faint cry for help? Nonsense! That's just the shunts in the EPS conduits behind the bulkhead switching paths from the secondary to the tertiary power circuits. They're designed to make that noise. Lets the Engineering staff know they are working as intended. Since you're here, would you mind lending a hand? Captain wants this cargo container heaved out the airlock right away. Before the Admiral arrives for the inspection tour. No, I'll take the end with the doors and locks. Why is it sealed? I've no idea. That symbol? Means this thing contains a serious Bio Hazard. Probably kill us all if it leaks. Thanks!

Well, very little DR per se to date. Having been short of time I've mainly been DOffing and running upgrades, a couple of cracks at the new STFs.
In amongst all the hullabaloo about the dil reward reductions, is it just me or is DOffing suddenly very lucrative again? The KDF have emerged well in that marauding-based dilithium earning appears unaffected, and if anything the contraband has been flowing at a rate I've not seen in ages since DR went live.
Even though he is annoying, it was also great somehow, because I think out of all of them he captured his character closest, and might be the best voice actor out of them.
Am still loitering in the alpha quad just grinding junk I don't really need, on a toon I don't regularly play, in a freebie ship that I've never really used.
I've got the funds to buy a T6 ship- but neither is any good for my 'hybrid' playstyle
I've got the mats to upgrade my weapons but they haven't 'turned on' the upgradability yet for my beams
I've got the rep and creds to buy anything in any rep (c'ept Delta), but it all hinges on the above 2.
...So basically I'm wasting my time while the devs play with their revamped sector maps and toy shotgun prizes.
Heh I just started a new Lethean, my first one actually, since I got a Kazon Raider for him. I look forward to eventually developing him to Honor Guard level.
Back in the day I actually rolled a Lethean just for the ability to push people around in ground PVP and the extra exploit attack, it was never meant to be a long term character.
Havent logged any of my KDF or K-Rom toons since DR launched. I was going to use them for DOFFing but they were built for PVP with lots of combat ships and gear that is all obsolete now. Its depressing to even look at them anymore. I am getting closer to just deleting them. That's how its going.

Try going to the STB(Star Fleet Battles) channel, and retooling them for those. All they really ask is use faction specific equipment mk X-XII, and just have fun running around in a good group doing STFs for fun.
What I do with my alts. Just an idea.

The Feds get an escort with an IntelTac Commander and a Tac Lt Commander. We get a Raptor (yay!) with just a Tac Commander and a Tac Lt.
Still getting the short end of the stick. Not sure why I keep giving them my money.

Like taking pride in ones work. Klingon ship goes to red alert ... human federation voice-overs.... inexcusably laziness.
