CRYPTIC screen stuck after starting game

After I hit engage and it goes to the cryptic screen it just stays there until the "Client Not Responding" message comes up. Anyone else have this same issue?

    nope, mine just crashes

    In my case I don't even get error code - just get: Fatal Error: Unable to initialize on-demand patching and connect to Patch Server: The connection was idle for too long

    keep at it, the error code might pop up.

    I get no satisfaction. :( no error codes coming up just fatal error and then try to reload and fatal error, and on and on and on. Ive tried to get into game not for past 4 hrs or so.

    I don't like to complain but are there any fixes for this? I was lucky enough to have the release fall on my day off. I however do not have all day to wait for it. :( I'd love to join you all in the delta quadrant.


    For now I will probly wait until my next weekend off. Six day work days bite.

    no fix yet. Just wait for the patches. Check this thursday or next thursday.
