So how many ships do you plan to upgrade to T5U? Did you buy the Delta Pack? Any T6 ships to be bought over the next few days?
Tell us what is happening to your ship roster!
For me?
I did not get the pack. Will get one of the Rommie T6 and probably the Dauntless. I will also probably only upgrade my Scimitar and T'Varo to T5U, and perhaps my very underpowered but beloved Fleet B'rel BoP.
Update : Given the pricing of 700 zen for 1 token or 2000 zen for 4 - I will be upgrading only 4 ships max.
Going to wait till T6 is gonna replace everything below completely (T6 Galaxy i.E. etc) ... T5U might not be completely "obsolete" right now ... but it's going to be sooner or later ... no point in spending money right now ...
Patch Notes : Resolved an Issue, where people would accidently experience Fun.
I will upgrade all the characters that use lockboxships, and upgrade my science fleet atrox to FT5U, I will eventually transfer my tactical caitian to a T6 ship as I'm tired of running around in a defiant with him.

I've played for going on 3 years. I've built up an extensive fleet across 4 toons. With Delta Rising, I get the sense that my fleet will immediately become inferior with massive costs in time and ZEN/Dilithium to make my fleet top quality again.
For me, this may be my exit point from STO. After 3 years, for Cryptic/ARC to demand that I throw so much back into the game to get back to competitive is too much to ask. Loyalty should have been rewarded, not exploited as an opportunity to suck more out of loyal players.
I don't have enough active alts to make the bundle worthwhile, but the Tier 6 Klingon Raptor is such a unique ship among the vehicles available to the KDF (essentially a Klingon version of the Andorian Kumari, with one Universal console instead of three) that it'll be worth buying one when it becomes available as an itemized purchase.
If/When I call my Starfleet toon off the bench again, I'll likely upgrade his Fleet Avenger Battlecruiser to Tier 5-U. There's nothing in the bundle for Starfleet that jumps out at me as something that I absolutely must have, although I'll look forward to seeing other players use all those Intel ships in STFs. If you're getting them, here's hoping you enjoy them!

The one I plan to upgrade first is my Fleet B'rel. I love that ship. Its my favorite above all. Followed by my Fleet assault cruiser. There may be a few more but those 2 come first.
P.S. I was considering upgrading my Galor but IMO the extra engineering console killed it. I see these ships dropping in price on the exchange for 2 reasons. 1 I already mentioned the extra engineering console and 2. The special spiral weapons arn't all that appealing now that we have more desirable mods. and can upgrade. DR killed the Galor. If you enjoy RP and have made a Cardassian/alien character and in the past coulldn't afford a Galor I guess this is good news.
I haven't even finished building out the 5 ships each of my 4 alts have now; not even going to consider upgrades until I've finished those builds, and get some experience flying/fighting in them...

I'm going to go with "none". If I have a desperate desire to do a T5U, I'll use one of my vet ships. But my plans are the ships currently in my roster are the ones I'll fly-period.
I'm buying one T6 ship, the Guardian. I'll get my hands on that Hazari Destroyer, too, eventually when its price settles down. Other than that I will be upgrading. There are four or five ships I'd like to upgrade, but how many I actually get tokens for depends on the cost. And then I have a few ships that will qualify for free upgrades.

That's just how I feel.
I know how you feel. I have over 20 T5 c-store ships. I wish that Cryptic would offer an account-wide upgrade token which would cover all my T5 ships. They could also add a scaling discount.
Say 500 Zen for 1 Tokens
2000 Zen for 5 Tokens
3500 Zen for 10 Tokens
That would certainly make it a lot easier to make large ship rosters from going mothballed.
I have all lockbox\lobi\zen Ships aviable to my Rom, but i will use t6 lockbox ship, because everything else is already outdated because of 1 BO ability, i like to min-max so...T6 in my case.
Pity.. i was looking forward for my Mad Nicor.
I don't see any point in spending money on T5-U upgrades beyond getting the most performance out of a ship hull you like the look of.
T6 is better then T5-U-Fleet, and has an upgrade path to T6-Fleet, whilst T5-U-Fleet is a dead end.
A console slot is not, and never has been worth a bridge officer power. What's more the stats on the new space Intel powers are horribly OP.
With DR's release there are still a few openings in the T6 roster where select T5-U ships have some sort of edge, but those openings are sure to be filled with T6 ships over the next year.
That said I will be upgrading a number of ships to T5-U simply because I have a large number in my roster that upgrade for free.
I have 4 ships I will Upgrade: Fleet Sovereign, Jem Bug, Fleet Nova, and Vesta. I will buy the Delta Pack with Zen when the bundle hits the C-Store in a month or two.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
So far the only thing i plan to upgrade is the Tac Odyssey. I like cruisers and the only reason i swap it was the lack of 4th tac console. The 5U version will get one and since the upgrades are account wide all my fed chars will have access to T5U ship with 11 console slots without the need of fleet modules.
Edit: Also the Pilot specialization could be useful and make it a bit easier to maneuver. I am not expecting miracles, just a bit more mobility.
I dont. I plan to keep playing the same way i did until now, and maybe in a few months i will consider to start throwing away dilithium to upgrade everything, including ships. Once i know everything works at least at 90% as "intended" (watever that means). At that point i will consider to start upgrading, but even then, that doesnt mean i will do it. If i find that my enjoyment is going down because i cant kill any mob because i dont have equipment stronger enough.. i will consider to just quit the game. Period. At least until the way the resources draining is taken is balanced in some way.
i plan uprading the avenger, vesta and dyson my feds probaably the dyson on my rommie other then that not sur yet
Oh the Avenger and Vesta. Man I hope they offer an account wide upgrade option, or a 10 tokens for 3500 type of deal. So many ships to upgrade, so few dollars:(

Agreed. I'll only upgrade the ships that have looks that I really like.
Like the Fleet Mogai with the Valdor skin, and the Charal... I find most fed ships to be ugly, so if I got a ship that looks cool like the andorian escorts, I'll use it.
I doubt I'll have problems with PVE with it.
Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

I'll do whatever T5-U upgrades are free, take whatever free stuff they give away, but I'm not buying anything and not grinding for dilithium anymore either--reverting to super-casual in all respects, serious gaming is elsewhere that doesnt obsolete paid gear for greed.

With T5U being account unlocks, I think I'll at least go that route for my main character (and my saved up Zs) until I'm in a position to get the DR pack.
Was planning to upgrade my Kamarag on one toon but will likely use Chel Grett instead while I wait and see what Cryptic does. There currently are no KDF T6 ships that are suitable for my play style.
Comments
i could propably afford an upgrade because my Zen is at a bit over 1500 but i dont see the need..
Will upgrade the Fleet Mogai, and the Scimitar for my romulans. Not sure about the T'varo.
Will either upgrade the Mogh for my klingons, or buy the T6 raptor. Not sure.
This all depends on just how much zen these upgrade tokens and new ships will cost.
And no, I'm not buying the pack, since its very expensive, and I do not need the fed ships.
I see absolutely no reason to buy a store T5 now and spend again to upgrade.

Now shaddup about the queues, it's a BUG
Personally I like an MMO that recreates itself, adds new content, and continually pushes up the game experience.
But then I know folks who still play Gemstone and Ultima Online. Different strokes...
