DR downtime?

xenificationxenification Member Posts: 615 Arc User
Okay so its pretty self explanatory however I am just wondering if anyone knows when the servers will be down as they add the expansion content to the servers for patching by users? and how long it will be estimated for? as in downtime?

I remember LoR was essentially midnight UK time till about 5 or something (if i remember right) then we could patch etc.

or was it earlier/later than that :S ? (time zones can be so confusing sometimes :( ) anyway... does anyone have any info on this? because I really don't want to stay up all night waiting to find out when the servers will go down lol

thanks in advance for any info you peeps can provide :)

better yet would be wonderful if one of the forum mods could post on here better to have an official source etc :)

its been telling you all week on the sto launcher, from 6-10 am pacific (01:00-05:00 utc).

of course that's not including all the extra time when the servers crash.

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

It has "officially" been on the launcher in red highlight for the past 3 days. It goes down at 6 am pacific coast time for an estimate of 4 hours.

When you launch the game, there should be a message on the launcher stating that there will be shard maintenance on October 14th with a start and end time. Keep in mind though that the maintenance time is subject to change as it could be shorter or longer as needed.

It's right on the launcher. Highlighted in a huge red block!

    Come on, man!

Thats the problem with the launcher...

It's used as a commercial-billboard, so most people don't nothing anything there, except for the form-fields and the Engage button.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

I am like that myself however even I notice red bar across the launcher. It does stand out angainst the normal colour. If it had been the same colour as the launcher generally is then I could understand missing it.

OP it is 01.00 to 05.00 UTC, if I remember correctly that is 02.00 to 06.00 BST

    well thanks for that guys.

unfortunately I dont actually get the red box at the bottom of the laucnher. which for obvious reasons led to me making the thread.

I guess my launchers bugged or something. Come to think of it any patch related downtimes dont show up for me at all...atleast it hasn't done for several months. had no reason to care till today.

would of appreciated less sarcasm but i guess thats what i get for using the forums lol

The problem isn't with the launcher it's with the players. City of Heroes had the same problem with players. They'd post announcements and put important info in pop up windows to be read but the players would blithely ignore them then complain the company wasn't doing enough to get the information out to them.

Difference is I didnt blatantly ignore it because its not even on my damned launcher.. the notifications for patches havent come up for me in months.

In any case it's in red base on USA

4 am to 8 am HST
5 am to 9 am AKST
6 am to 10 am PST
7 am to 11 am MST
8 am to 12 pm CST
9 am to 1 pm EST

On the East Coast of the great old USA it would be a 3 hours difference.

Didn't they get the UTC time wrong?

PST is 8 hours behind UTC.

So shouldn't it read 2pm-6pm UTC?

    That wouldn't account for a 12-hour difference.

True... How about the fact that UTC is calculated in 24 hour intervals... Does that somehow help?

Edit: No it dosen't... unless cryptic forgot about the whole 24 hour thing. I am out of ideas.

Think they might have done minus rather than plus or something, not sure tbh.

i guess 4 hours effective downtime, and after that the game will be completely unplayable for like 3 to 5 weeks...
    <3 Defiant <3

RnD and upgrade needs less RNG. Less lottery. Something has to change.

Not sure I understand you correctly, but if I am, I am going to assume it has something to do with the reason some contries use the Imperial measurement system over the Metric system...
