Having just had a nose at the new T6 ships on Tribble (least, the FED ones, I've seen the KDF & Republic ones thanks to sarcasmdetector's post here). I am curious about everyone's thoughts to them.
I only own three characters, two of them are FED, the other is KDF, thus it stands to reason I'll have no use for the Republic ships. Having seen all of them though, as already stated, the only one that has any appeal to me is the Guardian Cruiser. I'm curious as to what people are planning to do when Delta Rising launches, I would start a poll, but ya'know, I can't, so I'll stick to simply listing options that you can choose.
Obviously these choices aren't defined, as people do change their mind on occasion, but I am curious to know where people stand with the current selection, and choices that will become available to us.

- I'm going to purchase one (or more) of the new T6 ships.
- Please state if your choice is the Guardian, Dauntless, or one of the newer themed ones.
- I'm skipping the T6 ships, but will be upgrading all of my existing T5 ships.
- I'm skipping the T6 ships, but will be upgrading a limited number of my T5 ships.
- Feel free to explain why you're only upgrading specific ships.
- I'm avoiding the whole process. I plan to continue on through the game with my T5 (or T5.5) ships without the need to upgrade them, nor the need to purchase a T6 ship.
- I've purchased the Delta Rising Pack, so I get everything.
- Other (please elaborate in reply)

Same here. In one or two years I would have bought all of them anyways. I'm a collector
My Rommy toon will get a Faeht beacause well it looks AMAZING I especially like the upswept wing variant.
Other than that my main will continue to fly her Galor and my other toons will fly what they have upgraded if possible or as is for the forseeable future.
I have 3 feds, 1 rom and 1 klingon I play on a semi-regular basis, so the ops pack was a good deal for me.
Upgraded ships (if the cost is 500 Z).
Fleet Defiant
Fleet Avenger
Fleet Regent
T6 Purchases.
Guardian Cruiser
Intel Escort
Matha Raptor
Note: I think I'm going to wait and see if my rom gets any new ships/upgrades.
Anyway, I am not sure yet. There is a chance I'm gonna win a DR pack before the prize goes up. If not, I'll see. I'm gonna upgrade my Excelsior for sure to T5U, since that is the absolute flagship. Next to that, I get 500 zen/month, so I'll see where I end up. Slowly but surely. Same with the gear, slowly but surely.
Basically, whenever I feel like it.

The only possibility I would even consider getting a T6 ship if Cryptic decides to release T6 versions of canon ships (especially a Klingon Negh'Var refit still waits to hit the Cstore). But in any case I won't buy them, I'll grind casaully until I got enough purple rock.

My former Main (Fed) will keep her Vesta. None of the new ships fill the Sci Role as well. Changing ships would only make her weaker. I may upgrade it depending on how much I play her (it hasn't been much since Romulans were put it).
The only other Alt that I play is a Borg. None of the ships look Borgy enough to switch out. Maybe if they release a Lobi Borg Vessel...
There may be a T6 Intrepid coming out. Look at their new load screen showing off the T6 Vessels and there is an Intrepid among them. Plus, it is the Hero Ship for this Expansion.

I never payed much attention to the Faeht vs Ahallah thread in the rom fleetyard subforum until this morning. On a whim i checked out the stats on the Faeht and it looks pretty sweet. I can use it to replace my Tvaro stealth bomber on my Sci toon and i can also claim it on my Tac main where it will replace my Scim.
I wouldn't be half suprised if that wasn't closer than many people think, though I suspect such a vessel would be more Cooperative Borg themed than Traditional Borg.
I would imagine that's more for the connection to the expansion than anything else, plus, Voyager was (and is) an Intrepid Class.
I could be wrong, but I'm not expecting a T6 Intrepid until we get a whole bunch of canon T6 ships. Imagine the uproar if Intrepid fans got their T6 Intrepid, but Galaxy, Defiant, Excelsior, Akira (etc) fans had to wait (possibly inevitably) :P
im buying and using the guardian for 5/6 chars (my engineer or one of my tacs may stay or use in the odyssey for its the flagship), stick with the obelix carrier on my sci, and leave behind kdf/rom for a while, though i really like the ships.
so buying guardian and the phantom intel maybe for the sake of trying out a full intel ship. (i dont expect much fun with them cause stacking inteldebuff will take so long i already kill it with autofire maybe)
so yeah. guardian cruiser is the thing to explore delta quadrant.
I'll only be upgrading ships that will upgrade for free. I will be abandoning my preferred ship avatars for ones that do not fit my character concepts -- which in turn will have an adverse effect on my desire to log in to the game. Gecko's mistake was in thinking that ships are merely "gear" -- they're not, they're part of my character's identity and I resent being forced to to either buy a new ship or buy an upgrade that might as well be a scam because it is intentionally subpar to the game's new power baseline. I will laugh when they price upgrades at $10 (or more!).
If it looks Borg, I'll take it. It will fit the character.
Yeah, but it's the Hero Ship. Intrepid Retro-Refits because they wouldn't send a generic Intrepid to lead the assault forces; they would want an upgraded one. It works with the story.
And please, for the love of Q, no player usable Borg vessels...
I cringe when ever hearing this as it's ridiculous IMO... Please leave it in the realm of bad fan-fiction...
We shall see either way, though I'd be both amazed, and annoyed if the Intrepid (alone) does get T6 treatment.

Why I'm not buying T6: None of them interest me except the Guardian, but at this time I don't plan to buy it.
I'm not upgrading all my T5 ships because I don't feel it's worth it to pay for upgrades on ships I seldom use. Each of my characters has a 'main' T5.5 ship and they will get an upgrade, but only those. (Two ships in total.)
All I'm sayin' is that it is awfully suspicious sitting in an ad screen for T6 ships.
I only want one for my Borg character. What ELSE would any self-respecting Borg fly? A transport ship?
i'm not here to grind a billion dilithium to prove how cool i am. i'm not here to prove my manhood on how well i can push a computer key compared to someone else. i'm here for the fun of trek-geeking. there's a lot of new missions to geek in; and supposedly a lot more coming over the next 18 months. that's all i care about.
If not I'l have to choose one of the KDF ships.
I'll probably just get a couple of the ships if they come separately in the C-Store.

However, if there is a T6 Intrepid released, as seems very likely, I will go for that.
Otherwise, seven of my twelve toons fly ships with a free upgrade to T5U.
So, they are sorted.
Four of the remaining have fleet level ships, so will be upgraded as price of upgrade and stipend allows.
The last toon is a freshly minted level 50 and I have not decided where he will end up yet.
All the rest can only ever be loved by their designers.
