Serious issue with new character and double XP weekend

Ok I got a major issue. The double XP weekend has really screwed up a new character of mine. Just running two mission propelled me up to level 12. Now this wouldn't be a problem except, it seems to have caused me to skip my promotion quest at level 10 which obviously means I did not get the new ship purchase token. Additionally and prehaps more importantly, it skipped my level 11 Initial Duty Officer quest as well, so I level 12 with no intial compliment of duty officers.
So am I screwed or is it just a matter of doing enough story quests to catch up with the promotions. Also if this is the case, I will probably hit level 20 prior to getting either. Seems like this is a really major issue.

Hm, that's odd. A friend and I are leveling Romulans right now too. We did a mission and hit level 23. My promotion mission didn't automatically come up but it was under the available tab at the very top. Have you tried going to New Romulus command and talking with bigshot guy in the office (who's name I've never bothered learning)?

even without the x2 xp you can still get to level 50 in a weekend lol.
One of my fleet mates went from 1 to 50 in 36 hours...with only about a 5-6 hour sleep brake in between days
Not really. Not with a klingon toon anyways. Well, nevermind, if you play 24 hours every day, yes, in the weekend you can reach level 50...
I remember when the klingon ship reward time ago, that i used 1 day already and i was still at level 16, so impossible to reach 50 in 2 days (only 2 days had left, so i was not able to do it).
But with a Federation toon, yes, its faster, i will not say 2 days, but 4 or 5 can be done.

Stafleet get the level 10 token at level 10. Klingons get the token in the mission "Test Of Methle". It can be at level 10, 20 or watever..
At least, thats the way it should be..
So after that chunk I flied back to First City and I went to talk to Chancellor J'mpok, but he doesn't have the "Promotion" Quest, and will only talk about the story line mission I'm on.
Weirdly though I could still get my New Ship and add my New trait, but I got no new bridge officer.
I'm kind of annoyed but I wonder if it was also because the "Quest" popped up at a bad time.
Like I said the only thing I seem to be missing from the "Promotion" is the new Bridge Officer.
For romulans your first two ships are linked to episode missions. Actually the first one i know is for sure, the second one i'm not 100%. Hit L, then at the top of the new window scroll left/right and look for EPISODES. Click on that and then look on the left side at the different chapters. The first chapter is named From the Ashes, click on that and look for the episode named Neutral no More (10). That is the mission that rewards you your first free ship token for your Centurion ship which is the Dhelan. I think the level 20 free ship token is linked to a mission too but i dont remember which one. I just remember leveling my new romulan a day ago and doing all the episodes in the first 2-3 chapters and i hit level 30 after turning in a mission (thats the one i cant remember) and i got my promotion and free ship token for level 20 (keep in mind i'm level 30 now), and then i went back to admiral kenerek and i got my promotion and free ship token for level 30. When i hit 20 i got nothing so that's why i think it is also linked to a mission.
I've leveled probably 9 or so other romulans during regular xp and yes the double xp event definately jacked up the flow. I dont think we've gotten any official word acknowledging this issue and whether they plan on doing anything for the next double xp event...IF there is even going to be a next double xp event.
The way the feds and kdf used to be before their tutorial mission got revamped is the ships weren't linked to episodes. But since their revision, which is what you see now in game there have been a issues such as the one mentioned in this thread. Hell even without double xp there were still KDF players running around saying "why havent i gotten my free ship token yet". They should just make it so that if you hit 10-20-30-40 you get a mission from Quinn/Kenerek/Jmpok automatically or if it glitches out the mission will appear in your
available missions tab.
