What a great mission! Seven of Nine does not appear in the contact window for the Octanti mission. Other than that it is a nice "patrol" diplomacy type mission. Would have been nice to use some Tier 4 Diplomacy options in it however.
The Turei ships above their homeworld don't seem to be that strong, but the Vaadwaur seem overkill. Killed me multiple times. I mite even scrap this mission altogether and hope that it's better on holodeck.
The Vaadwaur ships need to many hits to make a dent and they pack a punch with their special move. Took out my ship with one hit from a cluster of those.
Good idea for a mission but even with a good loadout, which includes the Delta Sets, no freaking way do I think i'm getting through that.
And why do the Turei ships just miraculously self destruct when the Vaadwaur are nowhere within firing range?
Ran into I think a dialogue bug with the first part of this mission. It sounded to me like I had convinced the Turei to join, but Tuvok's following dialogue indicated that I had failed to convince them.
For the record, the options I chose were:
"This ship has defeated more Voth than I can count"
"That is a lie, we want nothing more from you than to join our fight..."
"The Voth have yet to respond to your distress call..."
This character has max diplomacy commendations, too, so I don't know if that has any effects. The last bit I got from the Turei ambassador was:
"You have given us much to think about.
Upon consideration, I think this alliance is in the mutual benefit of all involved. I will take your offer to my superiors with my approval, and then we'll send an attache to your flagship to work out the details."
Which sounds like a win, but the follow-on message I got from Tuvok expressed regret that the Turei had failed to join:
"It is unfortunate that the Turei were unable to be swayed.
We will attempt to use other avenues to convince them of the merits of this venture. Thank you for your efforts."
Not sure if it's a bug or not, but the reward at the end was labeled as a 'Hierarchy Officer', but when I opened the package it was just another doctor hologram.
1. No Hirarchy Officer, got another EMH Mk I
2. Seven of Nine does not appear in window during dialog
3. Tuvok claims I did not succedd in gaining the Turei alliance when I did
the vadwaur npcs at most are 10% more formidable then average  just don't get hit by tric mines. please don't even consider nerfing them
when on voyager, the MSD was not present at the back of the bridge.
when talking the the turei ambassador after the fight, the second text option had a typo, an extra "would all" in the middle of it
the octanti reacted to the fact that my captain was a borg, cool! im the LAST guy they should send to talk to them lol
empty chair in the text window when i got to the octanti part, think it was supposed to be 7 there
the octanti ships suddenly were disabled and venting green plasma as soon as the text window poped up after the cube warped in, before i could chose ether text option. i don't think that was WAD
rest of the mission went smoothly, except i got another EMH doff
1) Harry, the Kazon are organized into 'Sects', canonically, not 'Clans'. That's why you never got promoted.
2) I still get seating interaction options on the Voyager bridge. Which makes for some awfully intimate lap-sitting situations with Tuvok's crew. I expect to hear complaints from Starfleet HR any day now.
3) Pretty sure I got the Turei to agree, and Tuvok's hail indicates a negative response. "It is unfortunate the Turei were unable to be swayed..."
4) Seven fails to render on the hailing viewscreen upon entry into the Octanti system.
5) Is there a reason the Benthan Guard ship needs to spawn so close to the edge of the map? Totally running into the warpout interact.
6) Ending seems curt and abrupt - to the point that I'm not sure why it's worth warping back to rendezvous with Voyager for such a short conversation that could more easily be accomplished by subspace.
7) EMH Mk I reward, as mentioned upthread. Unless that's supposed to be some sort of winking Easter egg...?
Summary: I am overjoyed to see diplomatic and humanitarian solutions work their way back to being a central, vital part of the storyline. Moreover, the disparate alignments and agendas throughout most of the rest of the DU arcs finally feel like thei coalesce in this episode. What seemed like one-offs earlier on, have clearer meaning and import here - and it feels at least partly earned.

Well, he's promoted now, and it might be a dialogue bug :P
As for my own experience in this thread, literally in the middle of the mission now, I went to negotiate with the Octanti after the Turei aspect (btw yes, Vaudwaar seemed toughter than average)... and they immediately declared me as a Borg.
Turns out, they recognize my Fed-only character as a Liberated Borg species, and gave me presumably altered dialogue in response. Very nice touch
Edit: And yes, the photonic Voth Bulwark seems twice as strong as it usually is. Plus at no matter what point, before or after the Doctor helps you by lowering it's health to 25%, if you die it's health resets - which with that much power, means you're in for the long haul
Was named Trek17.
Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.
Plea bargain: Please move the patrol ship a little farther from the edge of the map. I was getting the "Nothing on scanners, want to go to warp?" message.
A General observation: Hanger pets, specifically the Advanced Peregrines don't seem as fast as they should be.
A Trill, a Gorn, a Jem'Hadar, Bejoran and a Voth walk into a bar, and the Bartender asks "What is this a Joke?"
"Nope, just my away team" the trill replies before ordering a round for the bar.
I'd like to suggest that there be a way for those with maximum Diplomacy to get the faction to agree to the truce without there being a fight. In my opinion, those ships are insanely overpowered (despite the fact that they are "end game" ships) and, when you add in the fact that one ship is taking on six of them with literally no backup whatsoever, it not only makes it insanely frustrating and difficult [despite, for me, the game being at the "normal" level], but it takes the fun and enjoyment out of the experience.
If not, please either drastically reduce their power levels and the number of ships or have Voyager and/or the Rhode Island (or any other ship) warp in and give us a hand.
The combat is getting a little dicier. At 58 my quantum torpedo build is having to put quite a lot more effort into taking down these ships hull points. At a certain point leveling enemy health is undermining the setting/plot (since I shouldn't have to be using a level of firepower normally reserved for Undine Battleships on kazon cruisers.)

I assume enemies are supposed to appear during Photon of Solace? I had to wait til EVERY ability was on cool down before getting credit for using thme.
Had the problem with Seven rendering.
Randomly scanned some Hydrazine, and it ended up in my regular inventory.
Chose to deliver the terraforming systems - would like it very much if the system took first from my inventory, then from my bank.
The only enemy that gave me problems (T5-U Fleet Escort Carrier with all MK 12 gear) was the Infected cube.
Would have liked to see Diplomacy responses. Safe to assume there are accolades attached to getting everyone to join?
Randomly scanned some Hydrazine, and it ended up in my regular inventory.
That's actually the norm, even on Holodeck currently. Things like Hydrazine, Duranium, etc etc are kept in your regular inventory - the crafting tools you make out of those materials, such as the Focusing Lens, are kept in the R&D tab

Is anyone else being attacked by Harry and the Rhode Island? I can't finish the mission, because he keeps shooting at my ship in the system where I am to help him recruit the Kazon. Maybe because i'm KDF?

Again kudos to the stunning system backgrounds. A joy to explore space in such a beautiful setting.
- VanyZyl's uniform is neither science officer nor tactical nor whatever, the blackish stripe it has is odd an not following the Odyssey standard.
- It's very nice how the crewmen salute onboard the Voyager when you pass by
(-the table shows that the "seating tech"is still far from perfect, Neelix's legs were piercing through the table and all were floating)
Very nice: The option to warp to the next system directly. Not needed or wanted for patrols, but for his mission it makes very much sense, good job.
Russan System: Good mission. Seven isn't visible on her chair in the cutscene.
Neles: Very nice, but why is this located so very close to the irritating border of the map?
Pribyl: Very well balanced fight with the Hierarchy Battleship. It was a match for my Jemmie Dread, shouldn't be harder or easier. Lost hull, lost shields, but in the end the thing had no chance and I expect other players to kill it, too, and it's okay that it isn't too easy. Leave it like that please!
Bremark: Was okay.
The warp to Voyager was nice, but I would expect a better and more easy to read breakdown which diplomatic mission failed and which was considered a success.
all the previous missions seem to be reasonably balanced, then i hit this mission and its out of balance a bit, ive never been able to go toe to toe with a bulwark with my excel or a tac cube on my own before because their sudden powerful damage dealing abilities have always been more then i can handle. thats just a fact i havent been able to overcome with my setups. so this mission offers both of these enemies plus a rather drawn out fight with the vaadwuar over the teuri world and the rather large kazon attack force at the end. the last one i can deal with the same with the drawn out fight, the octanti and the hierarchy ones either need a change in enemies that are a little less imposing or made weaker then they are specifically for the mission, especially in shield strength and attack power, with the cube its understandable because of the virus making the cube ineffective without proper command, as for the latter, a holographic ship is just a test, it doesnt need to be completely accurate and the doctor was working on helping you out anyways...
edit: oh and the hierarchy doff, never got it, it turned out to be another emh mk1
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
- VanyZyl's uniform is neither science officer nor tactical nor whatever, the blackish stripe it has is odd an not following the Odyssey standard.
Actually it is. According to Thomas the Cat, Black Stripe indicates Starfleet Intelligence. This is already live on holodeck, just look at Commander Burgess on ESD.
I agree with one of the earlier comments that it is a bit weird that when you end with the Turian ambassador saying "We will send an attache to your flagship" the next bit of dialogue is "It is unfortunate that the Turians were unable to be swayed." Seems like a bit of a non sequitur.
The holographic Voth ship fell for me quickly to 24% (I guess I hit it with a lucky HYT III crit while a shield facing was down. Then the Doctor told me that he had all the information he needed and I could end the fight, he would help me. The Voth ship proceeded to rip my Chel Grett's hull multiple times under 50% while the shields were still up and forced me to retreat out of range to repair.

Yep, same here. KDF, and being attacked by the Rhode Island. At first I thought it was some kind of weird plot twist, but then Harry hailed me, as friendly as could be, while his ship kept attacking...
ETA: And I just realized that was what the entry in "Known Issues" was referring to, haha. Never mind!
I like it. Very Trek-feeling, with a satisfying combination of diplomacy and combat. And it was cool (if not all that surprising) to see what became of Seska's baby. I'm sure I'll like this even more when the voice acting's put in, and I'm very excited for that. Also, I really like how the Voyager's bridge is coming along; I see that you've been adding more "correct"-looking displays My favorite part, I think, was the resolution between the Cooperative and the Octanti; that was a really cool moment.
I don't care so much for the "all on one map" trickery, since everything important ends up being crammed onto one of the sides of the map, and it's irritating to have "There is nothing on sensors, Captain" popping up every ten seconds when you're trying to fight.
Also, I know the Kazon are supposed to have blue phasers, but can you please give them something other than TOS ones? My ears can't take the strain.
But overall, great mission. One of the best so far (both in DR, and in STO generally).
edit: oh and the hierarchy doff, never got it, it turned out to be another emh mk1
I just opened that pack. I did get an EMH Mk I from it, but I also got a Hierarchy intel/sci boff (yes, boff) from it. Who wears Fed uniforms, despite being on my KDF crew. Also, he loses his default costume as soon as you try to edit him. Even so, quite a nice surprise
Could cryptic make it so the races you have to speak with change based on the player race, who here would like to have their Tellarite face off with the Kazon in a "voice war".
