Perhaps I have missed it with the Delta Rising details being released, but has it been stated that with these new levels, (10), we will be getting more player skills to invest points in?

And if we are going to get another level added to our skill tree is Cryptic going to add a tabula rasa respec for all us players or have us pay to respec our skills.

Depending upon the direction of Delta Rising & any potential new skills added that could make previously selected players' skill builds obsolete, better, circumstantial, or at least changed in value.

Sorry to say, I'm not excited for DR. I'm not a fan at all of Voyager or any aspect of it. Furthermore, I disagree with the way the whole T5 to T6 ship thing is being handled. I want to be into it, I do. But I can't condone the direction this game has gone the last year.
I was incredibly excited for LoR and it turned out to be bittersweet in a way because it was great to have a new playable species even if it was only half a faction (and still incomplete at that) and it was great to have a bunch of new story missions to play.
The bitter part was when I realized it was Rom or nothing after that in PvP because of the incredible imbalance created by the space traits that Romulan captains had easy access too and the super OPness that was the Scimitar. I had a Fed Vulcan that I had over 1000 hours and almost $800 invested in that was made obsolete overnight. Now again, when DR hits, my character (his ship which is more him than the little guy on the ground that I almost never play) will be rendered obsolete and I will again be forced into making a choice of what I like in the IP vs. being competitive and doing well in the game.
I don't think players should have to make that choice and it's a disappointing trend here. Maybe I'm just not a MMO guy.

    Can I have your stuff?

Sorry. Could not resist. I hope you find something you enjoy about it!

Sweet, looking forward to that date.

I won't go straight in. Since I usually wait a week or 2 for all the glitches to get fixed. Then venture into the new expansion.

But remember we Crazy's not only drool with you, we deeply feel with you while we run a muck in our robes made with the hospital bed sheets. Here, have a Tinfoil Hat * the Mushroom people who live in the toilet are reading our thoughts again.

Delta Rising is releasing on a Tuesday, the same day pretty much every other video game gets released in America.

It has been that way since forever due to retail stores only getting new shipments of games on Tuesdays.

Besides, its canon! lol :P https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HG_Hx-0ulQ

its even funnier that the uploader used STO's theme song....

Either way cant wait for Delta Rising :)

I appreciate this post. I think that lots of folk play for the IP aspect of the game and some basic MMO features frustrate people because they don't see it as an MMO first. Maybe you aren't an MMO guy and that's cool. I totally get how you could be frustrated about all of the time and hours you spent seemingly nullified by newer, better things. I would venture to say that you at least somewhat enjoyed the experience so far to dedicate so much of your resources to this free to play game.

I get what people mean by saying that the Republic is a half faction (because they ally with UFP or KE). I don't get what people mean by saying it's an 'incomplete faction' - what exactly is missing?

It's really refreshing to have a response on my post that's mature and civil. You're right, my first few months playing before LoR we're some of the most fun I'd ever had in a game. And also, the friends I made in my fleet helped me through some rough times and it was a great escape. But since then I've had a love hate relationship with the game. But I'm still here and log in to do some dailies, rep, and doffing.
When I say the Romulans are an "incomplete faction" I'm referring mostly to what is missing from Command like the security officer and other things you have to go to ESD or Qo'nos for.
The fact that there is no Romulan Fleet starbase, and IMO a very limited ship selection. The Roms have also been left out of the last two giveaways with no explanation.
And now looking at the Delta Rising Pack it looks like Romulans are getting the back seat to the Feds like the KDF are.

I think it's really funny that you thought this was still 'news'... We all knew it was the 14th since quite a while back, where have you guys been? :P
Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.

After stepping back for a moment, I think there are too many changes arriving. I am getting upset with the slightest alterations, for I feel as if they are bring about uncertainty.

'Star Trek: Online' is an extra expense. Within all reality and hindsight, I should not care about what happens. I am not normally a cynical person. I am always trying to keep optimistic.

I think the combination of all these changes is scaring me away.

I want 'Star Trek: Online' to be successful; however, the game is turning into something unrecognizable. I no longer see 'Star Trek' in 'Star Trek: Online'. I see allot of grinding, timegates, expensive items, and mindless functionality.

'Star Trek: Online' has 'Star Trek' elements, but it lacks the heart and soul of the franchise.

I see allot of changes that are making the game too expensive and time consuming.

Ships are still being tested and they never release prices of c-store items before they come to c-store. It would be great if they do it few days before launch.
