Sci Secondary Deflectors

So I'm just going to say this. If they release Delta Rising without secondary deflectors across the board in all science ships especially the Federation ships (including Voyager which happens to have it mentioned in one of it's episodes) then we know they've been full of hot air the whole time about fixing the inherent problems with science ships.

    Geko talked about this like 2 months ago, it's never going to happen, EVER! He said it would take too much time. Basically there's no way for cryptic to make money off it, after all, if you get a free secondary delfector then why buy any or all of the dyson ships?

    Given they made the Dyson ships obsolete in record time with T6 ships, they should just release those deflectors.

    Secondary Deflectors are like unicorns or the mythical fleet guramba; looking for them will only yield disappointment, we'll just have to be content with most sci ships being 5 sci console boats with DR.

    Oh yeah, I forgot about them talking about these secondary deflectors. They must of too. :P

    It's been known for a long time that secondary deflectors wouldn't be ready in time for Delta Rising. No need to set yourself up for disappointment OP, unless your life just isn't complete without something new to feel slighted over.

    Secondary Deflectors are coming. Just not with the launch of Delta Rising, as they have to work on a full on expansion. They'll come. Just like that Raider Flanking Bonus that was field tested on the Plesh Brek.

    he actually never said anything like that.. he said they were going to happen, just not for delta rising. he said they are nearly complete, but are currently side boarded..

    please actually listen to interviews, or read posts before laying false information down in the form of fact...

    but ill agree with the op, the development of this game is like a kid with adhd, they start something, get it almost done, and then move on to something else before they complete the first project.. kind of like crafting..

    My C Store Dyson ship has the blue secondary Deflector obtained from the Freebie version during the Anniversary Event. I wonder if there will be some way to buff it via the Upgrade System?

    Once Cryptic put the word 'secondary' on them I lost all interest in them. Now if my Sci ships could have mounted 2 real deflectors and maybe squeezed in another gear set bonus I'd be asking for them every week too. But you can't, so the clamor over these things is way out of proportion to their usefulness, imo.

    We don't know how useful a secondary deflector will be, outside of the Dyson one on the Sci Destroyers.

    It's not that black-and-white. Geko says a lot of things. Like every year or so he says they're probably gonna give PvP some love too... but not immediately. And then, of course, it never happens (not that I want PvP, mind you, but still).

    So, between what Geko tosses around as ideas he thinks are cool, and what actually will be in game, well, just let me put it this way: I'll believe it when I see it.

    Well they're definitely not coming in DR. They're already overburdened with all kinds of data changes for upgrading almost all of the gear and ships in the game. Throwing in secondary deflectors would just lead to more chances to break things.

    That deflector can be upgraded all the way to Gold XIV. I've seen it on Tribble.

    i predict threy will be ready soon after we get gamma quadrant in early 2016...

    That deflector can be upgraded all the way to Gold XIV. I've seen it on Tribble.

    I'd love to see a pic. I've been sent the regular Solanae deflector MK XIV gold pic a bunch of times (+50 part gens, lol), but I have yet to see the stats on the gold 2nd deflector.
