Doomsday Machine Mission Broken

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
Ive run this mission twice now. Its an episodic mission, and a long one.

Both times I cant turn in the mission. When I complete it, I warp out try ti turn it in to Admiral Quinn, and there's nothing.

When I re-enter the pocket the mission starts over. Anyone else tried this and had the same issue?

I've been having major issues with this mission as well, especially on actually trying to use the missiles on the doomsday machine, even after firing its 'immune' to the klingon missiles. Not to mention the thing can easily one shot you. The entire mission needs looking at.

Wow, well I didnt have problems there. But the mission is a long hard one. Long if nothing else. Tried it twice and got it done, but cant turn it in. All of the objectives are checked off and the mission registered as complete on warp out, yet I cant turn it in to the Admiral.

Easily the worst mission I've found so far, took me close to 2 hours to get three of the torpedos to actually land, without the NPCs causing him to reset back to full health in between shots.

Takes 10 seconds for the ship to charge it's weapon and fire, there's no consistant timeframe before or after the weapon fires when the ship is vulnerable, I would fire at 8 seconds in to the charge one time, and then have it miss the next. I tried this all the way from 7 seconds in to the charge, to 2 seconds after, all with varied results.

The ground portion of the mission is another nightmare of it's own, with most of the groups containing 2 swordmaster spawns, who like to run around alpha striking down my away team with 1 attack each.

I liked the ground part of the mission, it was a little long though and the only real problems are the OP swordmasters, otherwise the ground part is good. But the space part, especially the Doomsday Machine really needs looking at, having 5 missiles to start with sucks since its easy for the machine to reset itself, one shot you or be immune to the missile.

Update: I just logged on and finished the final part without any issue and collected the reward this time, go figure? Perhaps they stealth fixed it. Oh well, I was looking forward to another epic ground battle.

Still not working for me after today's maintenance. I guess I could try to do the mission again.

the only problem i had with this mission other than the OP'd swordmasters is actuall equiping the torpedos. I equiped them but in order to fire them i had to open up my ships inventory and click it from there. I think I should of been able to put them on my taskbar in order to fire.

I ran the mission today and it works. At least I was able to finally turn it in. Maybe they fixed something in the latest patch. If so, thanks Cryptic.

They automatically go on your taskbar when you equip them.
At least they did for me twice.

You have to shoot the special missile into its gun after it fires, you only get a few seconds to do it, so 100% shield power keep in front of the gun (the big end if I remember) it will shoot hopefully you survive and then you fire down the barrel.

Ive been in a team where everyone was either using regular guns or firing special weapon into its side. You have to read the mission goal that pops up.

Well I too have experienced wot most every1 else has in that I have completed the mission start to finish but upon hailin starfleet to turn mission in it acts as though I have not even done the mission at all n the starfleet contact is asking if I have contacted K'valt as if I am only starting the mission for the first time, accordingly I cannot not turn in mission. how do we fix this ? R support aware of this mission being riddled with bugs?, at least from wot I have been able to ascertain from others as well anyway. Pls star trek online address this issue as I feel so ripped off for the time invested tryin to complete this mission.
Funnily enough doin the mission so many times I have it down to a fine art now n can do from start to finish in 45 mins to an hour so I guess the practice is some sort of consolation but would really prefer the rewards n experience for this mission as I have done it so many times!!!.
I notice these threads r 2 years old u would think it would have been fixed by now surely

Completed the entire mission three times. Tried turning in the mission prior to warping out but Hail Starfleet is grayed out. Warped out of sector still can't turn it in. The mission acts like I did not do any of it. I Transwarped to Starfleet HQ same results. Filed bug report and now I am creating this reply. Hope there is some resolution on this issue.

Can't believe this hasn't been fixed yet, I can't continue my story progress now...

I've done this Doomsday Device mission twice now (completed it both times successfully) and when I get to the end to collect my reward, the screen still shows that I need to do the mission. I can't even hail Starfleet. I'm surprised this hasn't been fixed already due to the dates on these older posts. How can I get past this mission to continue my storyline? I really don't want to go through it again when I've already done it twice. :-/

I like playing this game but being stuck ain't fun, lol.

I keep seeing this after I complete the mission. I'd start a new thread but my account must be too new.

Thank you in advance, bug squashers, for looking and squishing bugs in the game!

ETA: I got past this mission! What I had to do was to share the mission with another player and we both did it together. Somehow, doing it as a team got past the bug.
