Fabricate prototype console from alien artifact

I've ran the above assignment 20+ times over the past week, and although I've got crit chance at 25% I haven't gotten a purple console since the 9.5 update.

Can anyone confirm if they've crafted a purple console since then? I'm willing to accept it's just sheer bad luck on my part, or possibly it could be a bug or stealth nerf?

    I got a purple just at the end of last week (can't remember which day exactly). It was a crappy one, but it was definitely a purple mk XII

    Bad luck is bad Luck... Since friday, I've made 3 Purple consoles.
    Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...

    Just don't honestly chance of purple is small as it is, chance of purple Mk xii is even slimmer, chance of Mk xii purple of something you actually want or is worth TRIBBLE is so small, and now with crafting is damn obsolete. With 20 you could've crafted 2-3 consoles OF YOUR CHOICE and mark!

    I do believe there is a bug in this assignment for sure. I've had the 3-trait borg engineers for this job since they were first released, and they bring my crafting chances to a nice 33% purple, 51% blue, and only 16% chance of getting green consoles. However since 9.5 I began noticing that I have been getting more green consoles than purple consoles, so then I decided to track my assignment results.

    So far out of my last 45 (tracked) attempts to craft the consoles these are the results:

    05 Purple Consoles (11%)
    28 Blue Consoles (62%)
    12 Green Consoles (27%)

    Definitely there is something really odd going on here with the RNG. How is it possible that after 45 attempts at crafting with a better chance at purple than green consoles, I'm getting the opposite results? These % are so discordant to logic or common sense to just attribute it to bad luck. Do I need to craft 1000 items before there are conclusive results? or there is a problem with the RNG for this and many other assignments?

    Except Field Generator Mk XII, the only way to get is through Alien Artifacts

    It definitely still works, I just converted my last few Alien Artifacts into consoles, 3 blues, 2 purples and 1 green MK XII. But like some people here already mentioned, it simply isn't worth investing into that Doff mission anymore with the new R&D system in place.

    I hear what you're saying but it's still kinda worth it for me.
    I'm not planning on crafting anything on the new system until I get to a sufficient level, although maybe that's not the best course of action?

    When NADORC pops up I park my cell ship on my alternate account there, and then grab it on all 12 of my toons.
    For the cost of 3 jevonite/ss lockets per pop, still seems worthwhile to have a go.
    Even though I didn't get any purples, still got a few blues worth several million on the exchange.

    With your percentages, the probability that after 45 attempts you will get more green than purple is 3.75%. So low, but certainly not something horribly out of ordinary.
    That you got only 5 purples is much more suspicious, actually. Are you using doff auto-select? How does it work for you?

    Just bad-luck, like me doing b'tran 17 x with 25% crit and got 0 crits....

    Pfft. You guys are lucky. I had this assignment chain ONCE in oh so many years of playing. I've checked all the "guides" and its just gone entirely.

    I can confirm it was bad luck, managed to get two purple anti proton consoles in a row this time around!

    I did 10 additional crafts during the weekend and got 2 purples, 7 blues and 1 green out of them. Not too bad I guess but adding those results to my previous 45 ones brings the grand total of more greens than purples still.

    I'm using the auto select yes, but among the top 5 results are always my 3-trait borg engineers, so I always get choose them. Not always in the way they are presented though.
