Anybody notice that bridge. Aside from the LCARS, it's pretty darned close to the canon bridge.

Now if only the STO Sovereign-class bridges looked a wee bit more like the Enterprise-E Bridge. ;)

I hope this is actually going to be the full interior, if they are showing us a picture like this then the bridge at minimum will hopefully be in game.

LaughingTrendy please make my day say it will be so!

I'm not Trendy, but I'm telling you so. :D They are, indeed, making the full Voyager interior set.

I have wanted them to do that since before launch. Now if we can get a proper looking Sovereign bridge.

Trendy, it was 75,000 Light Years, not 70,000 Light Years that Voyager traveled.
You must not have seen the part of the blog that said this, then, eh?
U.S.S. Voyager traveled more than 70,000 light years in seven years to return to Earth.

Just so you know, 75000 Light years is still valid with the MORE THAN 70000 Light years part of the blog.

The U.S.S. Voyager traveled more than 70,000 light years in the span of seven years to return to Earth. This trek across the Delta Quadrant offers the opportunity for us to tell many stories in our upcoming expansion of Delta Rising. From the Talaxian exiles to the Cooperative, there are tons of stories to tell! Read more about Voyager's journey here in our latest dev blog.

This is worse than the hype before the LoR expansion release. I wonder when those 40+ blogs with actual information will start coming out.

    Here is something random:

Could we please get our player backsides kicked in for the new missions? I mean it, no glorious winning all the time. Have some actual true defeat, no minor setback where you will simply rebound later on.

Nope everyone is a winner :)

Even if you don't know how to pull the trigger on phaser rifle you still win by showing up lol :P

Sadly true, but as such this would make a uniquely flavoured storyline. Something you don´t see everywhere. (Only thing I could come up with is EvE and that is player driven)

EDIT: I'd think this also opens the door to a future expansion featuring the Gamma Quadrant? Since the precedent is being set?

Pretty sure CBS said no to the gamma quadrant. Which is why the Cardassian Faction is being held off on.

Yeah and some noob would have tried again and again and he would have thought that he can win. After about the third attempt he went off and rather play some other game which can wipe out thousands of stupid TRIBBLE.

Btw, Good enough in this regard is episode " Coliseum "

If CBS said no to the gamma quadrant. Just maybe CBS is saving it IF they to do a spin off from DS9 based on possibilities of the Gamma Quadrant.

It's infuriatingly irresponsible of you to speculate like that with absolutely no evidence whatsoever to back you up.

That being that CBS most likely doesn't even care what goes on in this game lol. They are all about TOS revamp in movies only. Only talks they most likely have is if they can be used as a scapegoat for the development not doing something that their players want them too.

No offense to CBS, PWE, or Cryptic but really that is how it is when they use them enough as a crutch to speak and then when sales aren't doing so good they go back on what they say which is what any business would do.

As far as my 2 cents without much of anything other than deja vu on past TRIBBLE of the player base which ultimately they are going to nerf the current XII and put the new standard base line of the mark 13 and 14's at the same stats the XI and XII are currently at to keep ppl grinding. So pretty much if that is all expansion 2 is going to offer and some rep grind in some revamped mission with new npcs and nothing really new after the fact I don't see myself or many out there really interested unless they are so new that the same grind doesn't bother them yet. Although if its something different and enjoyable I could get into the next grind but I do believe honestly anything you have now is gonna be obsolete with X2. The speculation I have is just evidence of what they have done in the past 4 years of STO which is evidence in itself.

That Mysterious fleet is Iconian in origin I bet!;)

And I bet, they are the Vaadwaur , because they have similar history as Iconians, but they are not so overpowered.
Pretty sure CBS said no to the gamma quadrant. Which is why the Cardassian Faction is being held off on.

Already we have some places in game where we can visit a gamma quadrant (And even though I like DS9 , gamma quadrant is not interesting for me) , the Cardassians have not much in common with the wormhole , rather they have problems with the True Way, the Terran Empire, Tzenkethi or the Breen. KDF and the Federation certainly also want to conquer some of their systems. RR conclude the alliance with Deferi and further problem also makes the common border. And the second time is certainly not ally with Dominion or not want to provoke him as it does the Federation.

I like what I'm seeing so far. The Kobali, the Borg Cooperative, and (I assume) the Vaadwar could make for some interesting storylines. I look forward to reading more.

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

The few shots we have of the new Intrepid interior look nice.

I imagine it'll be a quick seller once it hits the c-store.

Nice little recap of Voyager too.

However, I think many of us want a little more meat on the bones.

PR for X2 so far has not got off to a good start, I'd love to see some indication that there is a willingness to do better, and lose the complacency.

Eh, no. Coliseum is a prison escape episode and you make it out. Can´t have the PC stuck, can we.

But I think it is doable. Have a fighting retreat and then have the standard depart system message pop up after having gone threw some dialoge (wich tells you that you lost) with a green "Mission Successfull". If that noob can´t get threw there it means they are too low of a common demoninator in the first place ;)

What do we get? Iconians? More Iconian minion races? The Krenim? The Viidians? The Hierarchy? More Undine?

No mention of the Borg-Voth war? I hoped that conflict would be rather big in the DQ.

Well then the Ocampa shouldn't be made into Doffs because the Ocampan's encoutered in 'Cold Fire' were isolationists and Susperia isn't to fond of the Federation. Those encountered in 'Caretaker' are both in Kazon space and are cut off from the outside.

Just so you guys know, this isn't even classed as a developer's blog at all. This is more of an introduction to the story element that we're going to be facing in the Delta Quadrant. So the 40 blogs statement is still fairly valid.

Nah, the whole vanish without a trace thing rules us out. All of the mission systems are totally surrounded by 6 to 20 PC ships just hanging around doing nothing.

But I'll grant you we do show up and slaughter everything pretty often.
