Win Lockbox ship and buy Lobi ships or make some ships an Ultra drop ship in game.
Sell to an Exchange System or a Zen Store Account of some type.
Another player buys my ship and pays into a Zen Account to be set-up later, and PWE gets a transaction fee, say 20 percent of the profit on ships they were not collecting on anyway.
PWE made money, I made money, and another player just got a new ship say for only a few bucks.
Beats having to come up with 230 Million Energy Credits for the latest Lockbox ship. Depending on the Exchange market at the time.
PWE makes money with people opening lock-boxes, if you can buy those with money why would they not put it in z-store !! then they will get all the money and not a %.

Well if people can trade the zen between each other like that, thats using the C-Store for gold-sellers... Something Cryptic has actively avoided in the past 4½ years.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...

lol, I don't think cryptic has actively done anything but try to sell lockboxes in the past 4 and a half years just look at power creep.. lol.. I honestly do not think they care about gold farmers. ive never seen them make a move to try and stop it, nor have I ever seen them mention it in sto.

When the game launched, I was consistently spammed by Gold sellers... but after about 6 months it stopped... Havn't seen them since.
BUT, right now, gold-selling isn't an issue... You'd have to be pretty slow to not be able to make EC on your own so there is no real profit to be gained...
Now if dil and zen were trade able directly... Well... they did recently shut down something similar in Neverwinter.

...talking to players is like being a mall Santa. Everyone immediately wants to tell you all of the things they want, and you are absolutely powerless to deliver 99% of them.
I've gotta agree with anazonda...this whole idea sounds extremely shady.
oh yeah its shady, but anz. making the statement that they have actively avoided it was pretty funny, cause I don't think they actively do anything over at cryptic.. well, maybe lunch, and when they have icecream trucks roll up to pat them all on the back for consistently TRIBBLE the game population over..

Well if you can't see the obvious, pointing dosen't help.

in neverwinter gold has become a useless currency. now it's Astral Diamonds and zen

I never talked about gold...
Edit: Here it is:
Enchanted Keys will now be Bind on Account on Pickup. This change is retroactive and is meant to reduce the negative behaviors of 3rd party sites with their use of keys. They will bind onto the next character that picks them up for cases where they remain in the Auction House or Guild Banks.
Well, the idea is to get lockbox ships to everyone without needing 230 million energy credits.
And I thought, if we could find a way to have a solution and share in the profits at the same time?
Perhaps we can put up won items in the Zen Store and let the PWE set the prices in dilith or Lobi, besides just putting em up for sale on the exchange for EC.
The current system works pretty well. Anyone has the ability to acquire a lockbox ship, whether it's from buying keys and opening the boxes (inefficient, unless you want some of the other stuff in the boxes) or from buying the ships off the exchange for whatever the going rate is.

Maybe, I should go back and start a Ferengi?
Ideas?
So... the problem is that you want a lockbox ship but don't have the EC to purchase it?
Let's address the root issue first, then we can find an in-game solution for you, if available...
Gambling makes you pathetic humans even more stupid than you already were. Lockboxes tap into that stupidity in order to make Cryptic economically viable (they probably get some NSA money on the side). Win win, as it allows non stupid people to play the game without opening lock boxes.
There's already an in game solution if you don't have the EC to buy a lockbox ship, but CAN afford to buy zen with real money:-
1) Buy zen with real money.
2) Use zen to buy keys/fleet modules or other items that sell well in the exchange.
3) Sell items bought for EC.
4) Use EC to buy lockbox ship.

*shrug*
I really don't see a need to change what works.
