1. Player A sends Player B a team invite
2. Player B sees the invite, then logs out or selects the Change Character option from the main menu WITHOUT pressing the Accept, Decline, or [X] buttons on the Team Invitation window
3. Player B logs back into any character
Actual result: The Team Invitation window is still present. Additionally it is now unresponsive to any button selections and will display the following messages if the Accept or Decline/[X] buttons are pressed:
"Error accepting invite: Not invited to join the team."
"Error declining invite: Not invited to join the team."
The only way for the player to make the window go away is to do a full game client exit and restart.
Expected result: If the player logs out while the Team Invitation window is present, the window will not reappear when they log back in.
Nitpicking is a time-honored tradition of science fiction. Asking your readers not to worry about the "little things" is like asking a dog not to sniff at people's crotches. If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.
A friend of mine encountered this bug once, except the team invite wouldn't go away even after he exited and restarted the client. He had to reboot his router to fix it.
This happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Someone was spamming me with a team invite. I couldn't find a way to ignore team invites from this specific person so I changed characters. The team invite window was present on the other char as well, except now as you described (unresponsive, un-closeable, same error msg, etc). I don't recall if I put in a bug report. I probably did, but I didn't make a note of it.
What I did at first is just drag the invite window behind my chat window, just hide it. Unfortunately it started playing peekaboo when other dialogue boxes came up for other stuff.
After I exited the game, and came back later the next day, and the box was gone.

Worked like a charm for me, but yes, this issue is quite annoying to say the least.
