Season 10 Expectations

I keep seeing a lot of conjecture, predictions and general excitement for Season 10 around the forums; and I wonder, why not channel that energy towards Delta Rising instead? :rolleyes:

(On a serious note, Delta Rising is not Season 10, it's Expansion 2. Let's keep our terminology consistent.)

    I predict we wont see season 10 untill 2015...
    Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...

    Right now some people cannot get past the angst and fear of new ships. When they come to the conclusion that fear is the mind-killer then they might start focusing on DR. :)
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    there is nothing saying that season 10 isnt x2 yet, claim what you like until proven either way officially.

    as far as my expectations of this xp goes, i have none nor will i have any, im just watching all these firecrackers go off with interest but pay no real note of any of it.

    You don't think this new advancement system in X2 is the skill revamp?

    Granted, we know so little about said advancement system...

    Oh, and you're probably dead on with the fleet holding.

    Apart from precedent (LoR was not Season 8), which means that Delta Rising is X2 until proven S10, not vice versa.

    Geko said(and I'm paraphrasing here) he'd wish he could've done the skill revamp in X2, because there was something in X2 that would've made X2 the perfect opportunity to, but he has to wait till season 10 to do a skill revamp.

    I guess I'm just assuming that the advancement system was the thing he was talking about for X2. It just seems very likely to me. *shrug*

    I'm going way out on a limb here... I predict long queues to get onto the server for the first 3-7 days, and hourly server crashes requiring 2-4 hour server downtimes for the first 72-96 hours

    I expect to see that my intrepid is still the only ship i enjoy weather it makes me weaker the everyone else(already does) or not.

    I expect more lockboxe and lobi ships.

    and most of all I expect PWE has rushed everything to the point that cryptic has no time for the feedback they asked for.

    I predict they will again "fix" things that don't need to be fixed and season 10 Delta Rising will be full of bugs and will to way to long to fix and I predict I will still regret buying a lifetime membership

    I think the skill revamp will come with Delta Rising... adding on another rank means you have to add another rank to the skills right? They said they want to redo skills and if they have to mess with it... I think they would redo it all at once rather than TRIBBLE with it some and then redo it later.

    Plus Geko mentioned that there is gong to be a new form a specialization for your captain which would further indicate a change in skills.

    I think for Season 10 they should revisit some old items. Like maybe tier 6 starbases and tier 4 holdings, not only for new gear/powers, but also to add more features and functionality to the maps.

    Season 10 will be half of the stuff that should have been in Expansion 2 (the easy stuff) and half of a adjustment to systems that did not need it with a little bits of stealth nerfing and a non-game breaking bug that kills convenience.
