As would I. However, Cryptic was quite specific in their STLV presentation about 3rd party starships. It may be a dream of many to see beautiful ships like these considered for the game. But it's not going to happen.
No Franz Joseph designs. No Trek ships from fan sites. No Axanar-influenced ships. (No 3rd party ships.)
Technically, the Franz Joseph starships are canon since they were shown on the monitors in both ST2 and 3.

Precisely what I heard as well.
While that looks pretty cool. I don't see that happening.
That clip looks more like a Starfleet Battles movie excerpt, which I like.

1.) No.
2.) Those are JJ style ships, so no.
3.) Copyright (C) AXANAR PRODUCTION, so no.
4.) Those are older than TOS, so no.
5.) All the above
2 is irrelevant. Those designs are older than JJTrek. Some appear like they came from Starfleet Battles.
Here is a list of exterior schematics of some of the ToS era ships. (SFB)
I'd go with 3.
I had a chance to talk with the designer of the ship in question at STLV. He said he was basically given a group of ships that someone on the production thought were cool and told to mash them together. So you see influences from a lot of different ships, some even from the wrong time frame. And while actually that might seem perfect for STO, no we will not be getting these.

I am assuming that you are replying to me and not the person I quoted.
Which ship are you referring to, and which designer? The one that works for Cryptic, or the one that worked on that clip?
Yes, I knew that there was no chance for the ships in that clip to end up in STO, nor do I want them to. They may look cool in that movie, but have no place in the game (STO).

There's canon... and then there's the copyright owner of said designs. That's for the lawyers to sort out. And I suspicion that Cryptic isn't interested in spending $$ on legal research to secure those designs.

Again... New ships NAMED after the characters. NOT THE DESIGNS THAT ARE IN THE FILM

You edit your original post at 4:56pm AFTER I've already posted my responses above... Then choose to correct me.
And some people question the maturity of the posters here... apparently, rightfully so... Wow.
Btw: see the post from dracounguis, also posted before your edit, which answers your OP either way you wrote it.
