Value of a single human life(from cryptic's perspective)

saxfiresaxfire Member Posts: 558 Arc User
Based on 20 hours at 18k dilithium crafting project.(The daily)
Cryptic values life at 1 dil every 4 seconds.

Age lifespan of average north american is 78.5 years.
For simplicity we can round this to 80 years.

There are 2524554080 seconds in 80 years.

Can somebody work out how much cryptic thinks human life is worth in "human dollars"?(Using that scale)

Just throwing it out there.
Cheers!

You do realize the value of labor/time-cost is not how any of the standardized values of human life are determined, right?

    Goodwins law this early?
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

    You have that backwards. Not 4 dil/second, .25 dil/second. Strangely enough, that's 631,138,520 Dilithium, or 3,994,615.75 Zen. Call it 4 million. So $40, 000.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

Total Seconds / # of seconds to get each dilithium = Dilithium Amount

    2,524,554,080 / 4 = 631,138,520 Dilithium

Dilithium Amount / Exchange Rate (Zen in USD) = Value in terms of USD
(assume 157 dil to 1 Zen exchange rate)

    631,138,520 / 157 = $40,199.91

Thats pretty much for something that can be so easily reproduced...

The exchange rate has been up and down today, but yeah, at "current" rates it's about 39-40k US dollars.

as far as I can see its more like whatever they can get you to spend in real money by tempting you with shinies that look like something you cant do without but actually don't need at all.

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.
