I really wish they would double the prices on everything. Maybe the whiners would finally leave. They will post on the forums for 2 weeks over what amounts to a half a days dil price increase. They will ***** over a price drop. There is no satisfying these people.

Just to provide an example, if you run CCE and put those Nukara marks through the T5 hourlies you will earn a total of 3,680 dilithium from that ONE playthrough (assuming you get the daily mark bonus) with a slight EC profit to boot. That's pretty much the way you can stop grinding STO and start playing it for the fun of each of the various PVE's. A little borg here, voth there, and you'll easily have as much of the pink stuff as you could want.

That's only if you're going to devote 3 solid hours to one single toon. That's how long it would take to do the hourly with ~90 Nukara Marks, at 30 Marks a pop. Instead of being an instant reward you're forced to go through a time-gated grind system.

    That's NOT "better" to me.

    It's 15 marks & 7,500 EC : 340 Dilithium. Not 30.

You're the one who's "grinding". You are the one who has decided they need 8,000 Dilithium per day per character, *every* day. Play the game. If you have a goal, aim for it and have as much fun as you can along the way.

No, 15 minutes to do CCE gives 105 marks after daily bonus. 30 go on the daily, 45 go on 3 hourlies (after 3 they stop counting for Rep progress)

Set daily up and 1st hourly up, do other stuff, log back into that char collect 1st, start 2nd, leave for another hour, pop back collect 2nd start 3rd.

Next day repeat process - Its actually about 20 minutes for a full days max Rep.

ETA - my bad, forgot Rom Rep, that takes a lot longer unless you like those rabbit things.

Well assuming your interest is sitting down and watching the timer. You're certainly free to play other things while the hourlies are running and that includes moving onto other characters (or doing other things besides STO). For me that naturally fits into how I play but I don't think that its that painful to incoporate the odd rep system check into your normal routine (if you've got more than an half-hour or so a day to spend with the game.)

Actually you can do that anyway if you incorporate the dyson ground battlezone into your fun run. :P

Hell, you could even do what I do:

I run one mark, set up the daily and hourly they move to the next. There are 5 Reps, 5 dailies and 45 Hourlys you can do. Maximize your time. I easily make 8k in a play session, usually 10-15k.

once again, your not reading... im seeing this as a common occurance with you..

the complaint is the patch notes are saying prices are getting hiked up.. not down.. there is conflicting data from too different dev posts.

if it goes up, it is merely a ploy to try and push harder on the patience of people and get peeps to buy zen to make into dilithium..

if it goes lower, well, ill give a belly clap to cryptic.. however, cryptic is not known for their charity, and we should expect some sort of unreasonably priced thing to be put into the game for say the expansion lol...

this is the definition of one of those moments wheen a dev (say the community manager, who thinks his only job is to tweat and have meaningless weekly live streams), should hop on and make clearification. cryptic dropped the ball by making conflicting posts, they should also clear it up...

You are forgetting that it was a bug that was making the price be up. So, what this is, is nothing more than knee-jerk reactions of something that wasn't intended.

Hit Nequencia Alpha 5 times and you're done. It's boring, but fast.
