I look forward to playing the drinking game whenever the Q&A is transcribed and posted to the STO forums.
I actually saw that livestream (kinda stumbled upon it).
And Smirk's advice not to 'nerd rage' is very hard to follow. I guess he didn't look at the Doff UI on Tribble himself, did he? 'Cause then he should rage as well.
The most constructive I can currently get is to suggest abandonning entirely this update and/or grafting crafting on the current Doff UI (therefore not messing the one system that works well in the process).
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

Oh I saw it. But have you heard about the recent Priority One interview CaptainGekko did about this being a WIP and it's not being complete yet?
That is the main part we need people to know about.

On to spread the news to other threads!

how about gecko or maybe the EP come to the STO forums and communicate with the player base about what the plan for the next update is going to be. Cause another live stream where you shrug and answer 9 or 10 questions with "I don't know." or "I can't tell you." is just not cutting it.

Totally Agree!

Yeah I agree. I shouldn't have to seek out third party sources for info and interviews. They should be telling the player base through official channels like the livestreams or the forums. No offense to you Smirk but they should let you know what you can and cannot answer before a Q&A session related to the topic.
The fact that this is a very early "Alpha" release should have been conveyed early on to avoid said nerd rage on the forums. The first I heard of this was today and I was on tribble Thursday already not enthused with what I saw. While I assumed (and one should never assume) the tribble info was close to the finished product I was obviously mistaken after a weekend of disappointment. Most of the time you all send anything to tribble its in nearly finished form with only minor tweaks and changes after the fact. This was the reasoning for mine, as well as I'm sure, many other's nerd rage.

Captain Smirk, maybe you don't know, but in the past when a Cryptic Dev was going to be featured in a podcast, article, etc - That feature was promoted by someone at Cryptic (usually the customer rep). They would start a thread in the Star Trek Online forums and link to the podcast/article's site and give a big HEADS-UP! This would trigger the Dev Tracker and everyone could learn about it.
Please do this again. Thank you.

Listening to podcast now, and I can confirm that. He specifically mentioned that it's 'not a beta' as well.
I'm cancelling red alert, but I'm gonna stay at yellow alert for now. I want to make sure there aren't any "random" cloaked baddies hanging around.
