No powerboard trade in for the 1000 Favor powerboard, WHY??????
From the Release Notes: June 19, 2014
◦Romulan Republic Powerboards have been added for Romulan Captains. •If players have already purchased their faction specific Powerboard, they may be traded in for free for the Romulan version at the vendor.
Why cant we players that got the 1000 Flavor powerboard not trade in our powerboard + 500 favors for the rom board.
I dont think that is fair.

This is for Romulans/Remans who got a Starfleet or KDF (depends on which ally they picked) powerboard and didn't have a choice for their own Romulan Republic powerboard.
The 1000 Flavors boards are for all factions, so no one missed out.

I beleave you thinking is wrong, I got the 1000 Favor board because I feel a fed or kdf board is wrong on a ROM char. Because cryptic did not let us know if there was a ROM board coming I got the 1000 favor board. If I know that this was coming I would have wait or got the 1500 favor board.

Because the faction superior board is a different board from the non-faction superior board. No one (including non-romulans) can trade non-faction boards for faction boards, or enhanced boards for superior boards, or wooden boards for enhanced boards.
But he felt he should get it for 1000
Though I will say it would be pretty cool if they let us trade in the superior boards for a different superior board, for example, the Lavender one for the Midnight Marauder one.
that would be nice...creamsicle crush aint all that....id rather have the lavender one but im too busy selling the favors instead of stockpiling them anymore.
Nothing unfair about it. The point is that those who wanted a Faction board (that's the 1500 Favor one) but had to "settle for" the next best thing can now get what they wanted to begin with.
I find that similar to people requesting refunds for ships they bought from the C-store the day before a C-store ship sale discount is announced.
If you buy a faction board, it can safely be assumed that you are buying a board specifically for the sake of a faction. This "turn-in" is based upon that safe assumption, so that people who were clearly trying to get a faction board get the one they want. You cannot place the same assumption for regular power boards.
In the end, this was to resolve the fact that those who purchased a faction board were being cut sort. Regular power boards are available to all factions, so no one was missing out.

Because you bought a 1k, not a 1.5k..
If there had been a Romulan Republic board I would have bought it when I bought a Superior board for my Fed-allied Romulan. As there was not, and I think of that character as primarily Romulan not Federation, I had to make do with a coloured Superior board. I had enough for a faction board, but because that character's faction didn't have a board I instead made do with a standard Superior board.
Given that there is a trade-in for the other faction boards it feels like a significant oversight that there is not a 1000 favor Superior board + 500 favors option for purchasing the Romulan Rebublic board.
I would guess (disclaimer: the following is just a guess, I do not present it as an evidence-based or anecdotal part of my argument for the 1000Sup+500 trade in, merely as a guess) that there are more Romulan Republic characters with 1000 favor Superior boards wanting the Romulan Republic board than there are Romulan Republic characters with other faction boards wanting to trade them for Romulan Republic boards, as players might not want to fly Federation or Klingon colours on characters which they present as Romulan Republic.
I still think it's fair. Possessing a Federation or Klingon powerboard as a Romulan/Reman makes it a safe assumption that you wanted a faction board. So, if you have a faction powerboard but you couldn't get a Republic one because it wasn't available, here's your chance. That assumption doesn't quite hold when a Romulan/Reman player has a regular Superior board.
Besides, this is a Trade-in. Not an Upgrade.

Faction boards are not an upgrade to Superior boards, merely an alternative.
In terms of how much they cost, I'll consider it an upgrade. At least in shininess.

How come there's no option to trade in an Enhanced board + 1000 Favors for the Rom fRaction board?
How come there's no trade-in to swap a Standard board +1450 Favors for a Rom fRaction board?
How come I can't buy a Rom board for 1500 and get back 10,000 EC for all the days I rented one because I wanted a board that represents my pseudo-faction?

Nah. If you're going to have to trade in a general board that can be used by anybody, it should be for a board that can be used by anybody.

If I know about one of the above three I would not got a 1000 favor board, I am not at fault here.
To prove this assertion you have only to properly answer one critical question: Who bought the 1000 Favor board in question?
Only if all the Favor boards are included. Enhanced + 1000 Favors and Basic + 1450 Favors.
Sorry to say, but you are small minded and I am done with you if you dont want to see my point of view.
So, all top-tier boards should be allowed for trade in. Even trade in for factional boards, trade in plus 500 lols for superior boards. One time only.

Superior boards and Factional boards are the same tier of functionality. The purchase decision on these boards is on another level than other boards.
