Whining about processed foods? "Evil programming"?

...you're one of those people, aren't you?

What, exactly, was the point of this thread? Not enough of your like-minded circle of yes-cats on Tumblr or Facebook to spread this too? Had to come here and post a pointless social justice thread?

u know jokes aside, I have given your words some valid thought (even though this response was designed to derail my thread) and pondered on who exactly would be offended by ethics and morals...especially ones depicted in the very game we have come here to play, and I do not in the least bit feel bad for reflecting them rp or no rp! Ive brought up these types of discussions before, but based em off of trek guidelines and principles to give us a common ground, but it puzzles me about your also pointing out the theme of cats in a negative form as if grasping for anything to use in retaliation to me, and that seemed the best you could find. This leaves me to consider u have another issue...so im all cat-ears, care to share your issue? Its my thread so if u have something on a side note to add, like a problem with me lets hear it and get it settled. id rather make friends then enemys wouldnt u?

I stopped eating fast food years ago. Hell I don't even drink soda anymore. Home cooked food and water for me only.

He used to work at McDonalds, watching the growing of the bacteria that makes up the special sauce.

When I think of special sauce, I have always pictured an employee in the back room passed out on the floor, hugging an empty bottle of cooking sherry. hehe

The only fast food I ever eat is an occasional small milkshake from McDonald's and a sprite about five times a year. Other than that I only eat fruits, vegetables, fish, beef, pork, yogurt, chicken, and a few slices of pizza every few weeks. In addition to that I go to the gym regularly and have a protein shake.

As for fat people trying to lose weight in the gym, none of them understand the fact that exercise will not make you lose weight in a month although it can make you stronger and healthier. The thing that they really need to do is change their entire lifestyle and eating habits. In other words when you get out of the gym from a twenty minute workout, don't go over to the pizza place and order an extra large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and a diet coke as a reward for yourself:rolleyes:. You would have burned about 100 calories at the gym and then eaten 2000 if you did that.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to watch Independece Day.

You do realize that South Park had several episodes dedicated to bashing fast food, right?

You probably need to research more before you make blind criticisms like that.

That's really the best advice right there, especially the bold part.

I'd been trying to lose weight all the wrong ways. I was quickly going to pass the 300 lbs. mark. After doing a bit of reading up, the above advice is what I found to be the best. After changing my entire approach to eating and food, I'm now down to 250 lbs. and still going. I feel a whole hell of a lot better too. Haven't started up at a gym yet though. Want to lose around 50 lbs. more or so before I start going at it.

    Congrats!

It really is the biggest issue, people think they can go snack on whatever they want after a workout.

I've got a ways to go yet, but now that I've seen and felt actual, tangible results, it's all that much easier to stick with it.

I seen some of an episode once, and it really made me loose faith in our modern cultures supposed social progress...the fact that they would do such a thing on tv and consider it entertainment, or acceptable. But I initially just used it as a reference to a falling away of traditional decency to a powerful degree.

If u like the show great, but my issue here is food vandals, when u pay for something and not only do u not get what u ordered...u get it violated because the apes think its funny. I linked the scene from grand torino where those neighbor kids not only didnt help that older woman with her dropped groceries, they stopped to humiliate her infront of everyone. That makes me sad to think, it really goes on and no one seems to care.

Lets say there are other being in the cosmos as people think, they always ask why havent they presented themselves to us yet...i find that a dumb question! You should already know the answer, turn on the news, read a blog...look out your front door. lol

...i guess im sounding like an Enterprise era Vulcan about now. ^^; or in my case, a Vulcat "live long and pawspurr" :3

That's great that you're pointing this out, but don't drag South Park into it.

Amusingly, they even had an episode that proved why the galactic stage would not take Humanity into it.

One cannot ignore the things South Park has had an influence on. One prime example is how they made fun of ginger-hair kids one episode. Several kids ended up getting bullied by kids who watched that episode.

It was a story quite a while back.

Processed food is banned in my house, I've been put on a diet of fresh meat, fruit and vegetables and I'm generally feeling a lot healthier for it

      Again, it's the parents fault.

      1. South Park is and always has been rated M, for Mature, as in 18+. It is up to the parents of those children to curb what they're watching or listening to.

      2. Just because some child is picked on, the blame is not to be placed on the media, but the parents.

It's NEVER the parents who the blame is put on, it's always some scapegoat. Heavy Metal made my son kill himself, it wasn't MY fault. That violent video game made my son shoot up the school, it wasn't MY fault.

You have to remember there are no bad children, just bad parents.

There is also the thing we must mention about south park making fun of people publicly. I remember when they made fun of Sarah Palin's daughter's down syndrome. Not something to joke about.

It was politically motivated, and people running will resort to anything to destroy, discredit or humiliate their opponents in order to get what they want. (lol the Sith Empire!)

It kinda paints a picture of people in general, let your words and deeds be your Dorian Portrait!

Ironically, South Park is satire that frequently criticizes modern society falling away of traditional decency.

My advice is to not take the show itself too seriously. =)

      You remember wrong.

It was Family Guy that made fun of Sarah Palin's son.

The only time any member of the Palin family was feature on South Park is when Sarah herself was portrayed in a humorously positive light, and the episode centered around the McCain/Obama election.

Ah, my bad, but regardless, those shows have done a number of things which were just plain hateful towards others.

I love those rose-colored glasses that people think in the past we treated each other much more humanely than today. All, I say to those people, that was true if you were a white American.

Human treatment overall as a whole is worse than it was. It has just shifted. First it was the unfair segregation acts, now everybody is tearing each other apart.

Tearing each other apart? BWAHAHAHA. Look at history, what the British empire did, Romans, TRIBBLE. They tore each other apart.

P.S. what was the point of this thread?

I can't speak for anyone else, but I wasn't trying to debate anything. I merely saw that you seemed to have a misconception about it, and I was just trying to clarify things. :)
