Was killing time before an appointment with the doctor...took Syra/KDF out joy riding around Risa on her power board. Trying to see if one could ride the power board all the way through the cave on Risa (BTW...you can not).
Anyways...heading back out to "open waters", saw this and thought, "This looks pretty". And wanted to share it with my friend. I did and he told me to submit it here....
Although, pic quality is horrible, and may not even qualify for the contest. I have had to dumb down the graphics on my computer so that the rocks in the grotto would render during the power board races.
Oh god, I realized I was using this thread to dump all my screenshots rather then go for a prize.
Only one entry per user? Okay, all my other one's where practice.
This is my real entry.
I'm enjoying keeping an eye on the contest. Lots of neat and touching submissions!
We're not allowed to have more than one submission for the contest and i do see a lot of great shots where unlike my official submission in post 150, the 'focus' of the shot is more specifically the character 'in' the environment instead of what I'm going for which is sort of an 'all of the new things I focused on in this year's event, which is the ship and the surf and the swimwear.
My official submission I put a lot of effort into making sure that although my character was an element of the shot, it wasn't a 'me shot'...
That being said I did want to throw up a me shot...
I know it cant be an official submission since I already have one
But it was my second choice for what i'd submit
Wanted to put it out there to be seen anyway
and if they wanted to use it as an official wallpaper I can say I wouldnt mind a bit.
Unless they take this post down to keep the post count low... here's my unofficial 'me shot' In 720p 1200p And original 1900p
The rules may say I cant have a second submission, so it'll have to be unofficial...
But in the words of Picard 'There can be no justice so long as laws are absolute!"

Nothing like shore leave on DS 9. What's that? Not scenic enough you say? Where else can you see a playable Cardassian? No, I'm not kidding and I got the screenshots to prove it. Looks exactly like a Cardassian and his name is Gul Garak.

This was done completely in StarTrekOnline no image editing just commands and graphic settings.
I did have to re-size the original to a smaller image for submission rules.

I edited this a few times and tried to put in some witty one liner about "Welcome to Risa, enjoy our beautiful spots" but since I can't edit an image and make it look good, I guess this cropped image will have to suffice. :P
My character is unique in the STO universe. I created a new race using the Character Creator interface. I play as the sole Dryadarian in Starfleet, character handle Thirz@eileen134340. In my bio there I put that Dryadarians have the unique ability to merge into trees (kinda like Dryads).
In this photo my character is standing among the flora on Risa enjoying some shore leave, wearing a swimsuit and lots of flowers. The perfect holiday for a Dryadarian.
