Hello ! , What Is The Best Way TO Earn Ec?

    I was going to post a Sarcastic Wonka image but I'll be nice.

    You're very unlikely to get a handout in zone chat, much less on the forums (which has a smaller audience), so here's some EC earning advice:

    If you just want to farm EC, any space map with a lot of enemies will give you decent drops that you can sell to a vendor (don't use your replicator unless it's an inventory space emergency, you get less EC from the replicator) for EC. Starbase 24, Fleet Alert, some foundry missions, Japori, Tholian Red Alerts, some of the higher-tier deep space encounters (e.g. Borg), etc. are all good. The more enemies the better, and the more 'capital ships' the better because they can give more valuable drops. My average for a full-inventory loot run is ~400,000-600,000 EC.

    If you don't mind using a more valuable commodity, you can grind dilithium, convert it to Zen, buy Master Keys, and sell those on the exchange. Keys sell very fast. Or you could funnel in a bit of real life cash for Zen and do the same thing.

    If you've got a fast ship you can do the Tour the Universe daily once per day for a few hundred thousand EC if you can hit all the sector blocks in 15 minutes. Here's a decent walkthrough.

    If you've got a bit of seed money (EC) and a clever eye you can find some under-priced stuff on the exchange and flip it for a profit. This takes a bit of entrepreneurial spirit and experience though.

    Or farm some contraband with a KDF character like spacebaronline mentions in the next post.

    you obviously don't farm KDF - get a KDF toon - or 30 rolling and start farming contraband!

    Billions and Billions of EC are only a few months away!

    EC is overrated I have billions and rarely use them! Muhahahaha! :D
    Sometimes I think I play STO just to have something to complain about on the forums.

    Last night, there was some guy in Risa who was willing to trade his girlfriend's photos for Favors. This might work for you as well.

    Seriously... People told you how to get the EC (That is mostly useless at endgame anyways) and where you really should focus, instead you want to benefit from others work.

    try doing lots of doff missions with all your characters, especially around earth space dock or qo'nos.
    you should get plenty of radiation samples, antimatter samples, particle traces and such then sell them all on the exchange.
    you will find the ec floods in.
    you could also try to do some of the ec farming foundry missions, they have put a limit on the drops you get now but there is still ec to be had there, anything really good drops you could try selling on the exchange but even if you just recycle the lot you should do ok.

     and if that journey takes a little longer,

    so we can do something we all believe in,

     I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

    Saving EC is part of the game, so you will be better just finding ways in-game to save EC instead of asking other players to give it to you. Its stupid. There are plenty of ways to gather high quantities of EC, just do a little research..

    yeah, and i'm sure her photos are all over the web too LMFAO


    it's not hard farming EC it's hard not SPENDING the EC once you have it. I'm one of the silly ones saving for a bug ship once they hit the exchange again, just to see if it's all that as a pet for the carrier

    Someone needs to put a stop to the zone chat exchange spam. It's like we don't have a exchange system in this game and the only way to sell something is to repeat yourself 1000 times and try to sell some TRIBBLE to some noob for a overpriced sum of EC.

    You can also farm Ker'rat for loot.

    Negotiate Additional Delivery of Rare Commodities pops up in Cardassian space every 3 days or so, and gives alien artifacts. Once you power them (science boff assignment), they sell for 600,000 to 700,000 ec.
