If you had heard of the concept of warp you'd know it's theoretically possible, please, be a moron elsewhere... Just because you are getting places faster than light speed, it doesn't mean that you are actually the one moving at that speed.
You know its only the mere beginning of an idea right? Not even a fully fledged theory
Its in the "speculation" stage , not what you can technically call science yet
These are the Voyages on the STO forum, the final frontier. Our continuing mission: to explore Pretentious Posts, to seek out new Overreactions and Misinformation , to boldly experience Cynicism like no man has before.......
Please Install A Bathroom On My Ship. I Want Realistic Play, And I Don't Understand Why My Character Hasn't Been Hospitalized. Make It So That He Has To Beam Back To The Ship Mid-mission To Use The John Or Maybe Just Restrict Bathroom Visits To Sector Space.
But Seriously My God, How Many Missions After How Many Months And He Still Hasn't So Much As Peed He Should Be Dead.
Also Make It So That There's A Grind For Better Toilets, Sonic Showers, Towel Fixtures, Etc. I Must Upgrade Everything.

Already been suggested by another sarcastic poster. But again, the emotes would be ridiculous. Bodily functions are going too far, but a rest and refit or resupply for the ship for an optional energy credit expense while visiting a starbase would add a nice touch.

Klingon's taking a krap would probably scar half the player base for life.
How do ship's resupply? Should there be a daily fee to keep a ship in a good state, it's replicators well-stocked, etc.? Take energy credits as payment, but subtract them daily from the players current count.
daily torpedo load up? has been suggested before and the question comes down to how many supply posts, outposts, starbases and shipyards are you will to place along the way and whats the limit for each ship based on size? the old miranda i would imagine could carry upto 40-80 torpedoes. the saber on the other hand i doubt you could get more then 20 at most and really the ship is not design for torpedo usage, and at 20 torpedoes you would run out of torpedoes long before the fight ended.
asking for realism on sto is like trying to compare a bus to a fresh made and baked pizza.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

False, there's a department of NASA that is achieving some results in warp theory, although very small ones, and it still is science if it's theoretically possible. Speculation belongs to conspiracy theorists...
We get foods and drinks in inventory. Eating, handled.
There is a captain's quarters on every "full" bridge (well, except for the RR ones maybe) with at least a shower (behind closed doors) and bed. Sleeping and showering, covered.
However, it has canon-onically been demonstrated that there are no restrooms aboard ship. Or head, or latrine, or whatever you want to call it. Therefore, the skipped "problem" is not one, somehow waste management has been taken care of in the future... :P
If I recall correctly from the old Star trek tech manuals the "waste products" are processed to become the raw materials the replicator system uses to make items including food. Think on that next time you are enjoying your replicated chili dog. :P
They do it in Lord of the Rings Online. If you own a home, you pay to own the home. If you don't pay, you lose the home. You could do something similar with ships. After a time if you don't pay, your equipment begins to lose levels. Who couldn't pay 20 - 100 energy credits a day?
HORRIBLE analogy, as i play LOTRO as well i can see it....
for those who do not, Housing in LOTRO is optional content, you do not need it to run dungeons, quest, PV(M)P, do holiday/annivwerary events, etc. It's JUST housing and that is it. So a rental fee for the house not being paid does not keep you from playig the game even if you stop for a year, your toons wll still be there, with all thier gear, skills etc at the same level they were when you stopped.
If your SHIP stopped working till you paid back rent/maintenance a player could be stuck on ESD with no way to actually GET the money to get his ship out of drydock. What then? Delete a toon and start over? Just to raise the cash?
Maybe this could translate into...if you dock at a starbase, you could get a temporary boost (in something) by giving up some energy credits. This would be an optional expenditure. Call it ship maintenance and resupply.
I can get this by toasting with a drunken Klingon at my Fleet starbase. Why not allow it as a maintenance and resupply?
Why then would they not just make a duty officer mission that does this? Why are you so bent on creating another money sink? Your logic makes absolutely no sense to me. It's almost frustrating because you won't even acknowledge the fact that what you are asking for is nothing but adding tedium to a game that people play for enjoyment.
Are you so conditioned in believing that you must pay for everything that you have? Even your fantasy space ship in a fantasy video game? Good god man keep your masochism to yourself! Leave everyone else out of it!

There is supposed to be a bathroom behind the other door in Picards ready room on the Ent-D and we see him in his bathroom on the ENT E near the start of FC when he splashes water on his face from his basin.

You've seen what they do when one of their number die...but it's even less well-known what they do when defecating. The Klingon MAKE'PIE scream!
That e-mote would be available for 1000 Zen in the C-Store.
Shut up, and take my money!!!!:D
Ha ha! I love it!

I'm sorry to people who I, in the past, insulted, annoyed, etc.
Realism != Fun
Simulation != Game
