What is the Arc Client?
Install Arc

I've played since 2012. Arc does not work.

For all those who have the new Arc app for Star Trek Online... Well, I've been away for a year and just now coming back to play Star Trek Online. I installed Arc and once I opened it...It gives me a error message saying it cannot update due to internet connection?

Here's the link of the screenshot I took

I need somebody to help me with this issue, not some troll on the forums giving me something that is irrelevant. I want to continue playing but how could I do so if this error keeps blocking me from even playing Star Trek Online. Thanks.

truthfully...if you have a steam account, use the steam version of the game as its far more reliable (and others will tell you that Arc has spyware on it....*shrug*) and really, unless you plan on playing the other PWE games there isnt a reason to use Arc unless you want the rare freebies (I think they are still giving away the kahn uniform)

I myself used to use Arc for more than 3 months....then decided to say TRIBBLE it and went back to steam, as the only reason i used arc was so i could just hit play and get into the game without having to log in all the time....but i type my password so fast its really no difference.

    otherwise, try what torres suggested

I find this line of replies sadly hilarious. We put a lot of work into the massive list of fixes/changes above, and ya'll are hung up on the ability to skip our content. =p

For anyone that wants the original launcher see below.

After struggling with my launcher not updating after what seemed like every update (and trying everything from port forwarding to getting a new ip), it dawned on me to try tethering my phone to my computer and update the launcher through there, and it worked. So I will try my hardest to keep this updated with the newest launcher every time mine fails to update through my home internet. Therefore I will know when there is a problem of the launcher not auto-updating, and I will also have a way to get a launcher that will work.

Latest Star Trek Online.exe as of: This link should be auto-updated

    Enjoy!

You can even avoid Steam or watever (until we are forced to use arc in time) just running the clien EXE file of the game (the one inside the "live" folder). Of course you will not be able to update or check files or things like that and you will be loging in the main game screen, not in the launcher. When i dont want to update, this is how i do it. Since a year ago. You dont need arc, steam or watever.
