I have been noticing grid-like squares in particle effects lately on the ground. An example being the fire from the festive party popper MK II. I also found it on the waterfall effect at Hathan on Bajor. I have everything on max so I can only assume this is a Cryptic-side issue.
I'm going with the video card....hunch says that it's overheating
It can be anything. And seeing how bad the graphics are "re-vamped" in S9, i will think is something bad in the game, not the videocard's fault. Just another glitch, we could say.
But of course, if that happens in other games, then its the videocard, or the drivers.
There is the latest driver for your APU direct from the AMD site, make sure to do a clean install for the new drivers by using the Clean Uninstall Utility first then reboot your laptop then run the install for the new driver.
Well I uninstalled the drivers and installed the new drivers and it messed up my resolutions. What was once a perfect fit became too large of a resolution. Had to do a restore and return to my old settings. Any suggestions?

you could of just went into the control panel and adjusted your display resolution.

I did. My laptop runs 1600x900 which is perfect. That became too big for the new drivers. When I tried to shrink it, the resolution started to contract and become skinny like a twig.

Weird that it would do that. Normally drivers revert to the native resolution of your display without issue.
I looked up for similar issues and one person suggested uninstalling and trying again. I may do that next round. If not, I'll just have to keep the old drivers. It isn't a major issue anyway.

It does this even when I just logged on.
Where would I go to upgrade the drivers for a windows 7?
What is the graphics card that you are using? and what version of windows 7 are you using (ie is it 32 bit or 64bit)?
