Why all the lag and Visual Problems?

willamsheridanwillamsheridan Member Posts: 1,189 Arc User
I know this is a known issue for the Undine battletone but also since season 9 my Weapons sometines have no visuals in STFs too. I have seen (or not seen) it in THe Azure Nebula, Cure and both Undine Space STfs. And sometimes, during Battles my shil feels like i am flying a Train. Its slow and shaking.

In the New ESD i experience the lag when i go to the Shuttlebay, the Exchange or Quinns office

I was just in for 2.5 hours and no lag for me. Have you tried lowering your graphics settings? The graphic system changed with season 9 and everyone needs to make an adjustment to their settings. You might want to do a trace rt to see if there's an issue between you and the server too. If you're running through a slow spike that can cause lag.

So that would mean that my Graphic Card isnt good enough anymore and i neet a new on otr have to pay the game with a low setting and bad Graphics just because they made some Changes? What did they do? I can´t see anything looking Better than before.

Taco said they messed with draw distance. The new Max setting is now higher than the old Max setting. But I doubt that's the only thing they altered; lighting and shadows might have gotten a boost too because I've had to turn them down. Aren't undocumented features just dandy?

Do a search for the graphics bugs forum. You will find your answers there. Is not your computer, cryptic just messed up the game with season 9.The graphics are not better, the opposite. They just altered the game engine in some way and now a lot of people are having performance issues. The invisible weapons bug it is an old one, it happened before season 9 as well, but only sometimes. With season 9, that bug just increased 300%.

So I`m not imagining the invisible torpedo of doom has returned.
    That's a relief...sort of.

In general, sure. When they pretty much annihilate what was previously a smooth, playable experience- not so much.

Its definitely not related to system performance.

While a few of the issues are such as lag in some cases, I regularly have invisible beam weapons and torps. Occasional lag but that will be down to the number of players near me.

I'm running a desktop with a 770GTX and a load of supporting specs so definitely an issue with the game.

A little immersion breaking at the minute.
