Dilithium - I want it.

prierinprierin Member Posts: 7 Arc User
I am sure there is probably a thread somewhere with the info I am about to ask, but I can't find it so please forgive should this seme as a re-posting of a common query.

I do not like to spend real $ on virtual content. I have, I’ll admit, but I would rather not. I have no qualms in earning it, however, which brings me to my point… does anyone have a list of dailies that pump out mass dilithium?

I do the Delferi missions daily, and that’s good. I run a few battlezones.. but what I am looking for are quick and dirty missions that I can run in and run out a little richer. Patrols, exploration, etc. Sure. The battlezones, I find, are very time-consuming and aren’t always worth the rewards. Further, I often play solo and reserve battlezones for when I have teammates to run along with.

So, my fellow community. As a Rom/Fed player, what can I do to amass as much dil daily as possible?

Cheers

Roll a KDF alt or two...

Besides that... there's also the Dyson ground Battlezone, STFs, public and fleet Dilithium Mines, DOff missions, rep stuff...

The Dyson battlezone can grind out quite a few Dyson marks and Dilithium, as well as getting Voth Cybernetic Implants, which can be traded for Dilithium.

50 marks of any type can be traded for 500 Dilithium.
3 Borg Neural Processors/Voth Cybernetic Implants/Isomorphic Injectors can be traded for 1000 Dilithium.

KDF can do DOFF missions for lotsa contraband that can be transformed into shiny purple rocks. To make this even easier to do with lotsa characters you will find the doff rewards from the colony support doff chains are very, very good at those marauding doff missions that reward purple rock yielding contraband.

I honestly cannot believe it has yet to be nerfed. I dread to think of those who used to do console clicky dailies on 50 toons are pulling in via contraband on multiple toons/accounts.

    PS: Please don't nerf :D
PPS: Actually just attach a minor EC cost to the contraband turn in mission, even as little as 10k or 25k, would really go alooong way to draining a tiny amount of EC out of the system.

KDF and Rom-KDF have a huge advntages in that their Maurdaing DoFF missions always grant contrabands; lots of them, in fact. Then you just need to distribute them and hand in to your character's security officer for the "hand in contradband" assignment. Furthermore, you can trade your prisoners that you capture during these Maruading missions for dilithum or Latinum.

In addition, Since many of KDF ships are quite powerful, the Empire defense is also a quick way to earn dilithum.

If you roll a proper KDF, make sure to get a carrier too; most cost effective right now is teh Mirror vo'quv (which is only 100k and allows you to get the t5 free BoP for free too) The reason is to slot the contraband stealing Adv Slavers. They may not steal much, but can still be good.

I think that's all I can think of for Dilithum farming.

    EDIT: Ninja'd.

EDIT2: You may wonder how to transfer the Dil to your main char. There are two ways:
    1) Contraband: Transfer contraband to your main through the accoutn bank, and exchange them with the Hand-in Contraband mission
    2) Zen: You go with a really low price (1zen for 25 dil). On your main, cancel the transaction, then take the dil out.

kdf has marauding, which can get you contraband and prisonerd which can be turned in for dil. I get at least 3000 a day that way. the rest I get with reps and a visit to undine battlezone.

if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

My recommendation is the battlezone. Following that, here:

Run Borg STFs and convert the marks/neural processors into dil. Works with any faction really, but Borg is the easiest to get quickly.

    SO much info! Thanks everyone!

I love the Dyson gorund battlezone... and love the Dil that comes with it but you can only do it so often before bunring out, y'know? I'll give the Borg another run... I didn't know we coould turn the implants in for Dil...

    Thanks for the feedback!

    Cheers!

Regardless of Fed or KDF faction I always run the elite Borg STFs and elite Crystalline Catastrophe STF which all rewards 960 dilithium.

Crystalline Entity is the easiest, then comes Infected: The Conduit, and Khitomer: Vortex. The Cure Found requires a bit of coordination and it's a good idea to do it with team members. I simply queue it up which means I end up with a bunch of random people which means there could be a decent chance the of a mission failure. The Hive Onslaught is the most difficult and it's best doing it with team members. Doing it with random people meant that half the time I attempted to play it the mission fails.

Crystalline Entity is not only the easiest, but it is also the quickest. It typically takes about 10 minutes for 960 dil. It is repeatable every 30 minutes vs every 60 minutes for the Borg STFs.

yeah, the implants, neural procesors and whatever that 8472 thing can be turned in 3 for 1000 dil ore. Frankly it turns your rep completed toons into massive fill farms. for use in resources for the others. Additionally the sponsorhip makes it easier in leveling additionalsby reducing costs, speeding up time to get to T5 and resulting in more marks to shift to dil ore from the same runs. So as you build up more toons, leveling becomes much easier.

All this remind me of the real hard part for me of leveling new toons..... that is after being so used to zipping around maps in my borg mk XII engines at warp 20+ it makes moving around with my new LCDR Sci at warp 5.6 painful.

A KDF toon will eventually be rolling in a bed full of contraband. My KDF toon currently has around 725 contraband stored in the bank. That excludes the fact that I have probably funneled about 200 contraband to my Fed toon my KDF toon turning in contraband for dilithium (5 contraband for 2,000 dil).

Note the key word is "eventually". You need the right Doffs to do the various types of marauding missions that give dil. The higher the Doff quality the better of course. I have done it with 200 Doffs of various types. You need to "cultivate" your Doffs for best results. Buy the ones with traits that are beneficial to the success and critical success of the various missions. KDF faction Doffs can be pretty expensive though due to the small player base.

Try this blog-link it's an up to date 101 for dil.

Personally I've never had a problem maxing the daily refining limit, plus more. Having a KDF alt helps with all the contraband from marauding.

Do the elite STF's (960 dill a time) and reputation assignments (140 - 1000 dil depending on the project) and you'll easily max out your 8k a day limit.

Do the 'confiscate contraband' DOFF assignment, too.

If you have a KDF character run the daily "Pi Canis Path of the Warrior" which requires you to run Sortie Alpha and Sortie Bravo, and you have to pass the all optional objectives on each mission to get the Pi Canis Path of the Warrior reward.

    Sortie Alpha gives 1440
    Sortie Bravo gives 1440
Path of the Warrior gives 2400 for a total of 5280 in about 30 minutes.

That plus contraband as a KDF marauder will net you plenty of dilithium

    Good Luck!

That is a good source of dil, however, I personally have not been able to complete it in less than 50 minutes. I fly a BoP. Maybe I can do it faster in my Mirror Qin heavy raptor once it have fully kitted it out.

Since there is a total of 6 missions in Alpha an Bravo 30 minutes total means 5 minutes per mission which I think is unlikely.

In general, my KDF toon can fill 8k refinement limit is about 60 minutes of play.

Ha! You're right about Pi Canis! Apparently I lose all sense of time when I play my KDF character because it's so fun :)

Pi Canis does take about 50-60 minutes. You can also fail one optional, come out and take that sortie again (they are repeatable every 30 minutes) and pass it the second time around. 9 missions for approx 6K dilithium.

O/T - Glad I got mine a few weeks ago when they were 600-700 thousand...

Also as well as the Pi Canis repeatables, the Empire Defence ones are good.
