Has anyone has issues with the overflow bag not opening?

It's a fairly new character I'm building up, and I went over my limit on storage space, so the overflow bag button appeared in my inventory. From previous characters I know you're supposed to click on it, a little window opens so you can empty it, then you're back to your standard inventory.

It now just seems like a dead button. Nothing opens, and I have no way of emptying it. It's not game breaking, and it's not like I have any MKXII purple gear in there - but it is a little irritating. Has anyone else had this bug?

    Happens to me every once in a while. Tends to fix itself when I restart STO.

    You could possibly fix it by trying to get loot while teamed (the easiest way to get stuff in your overflow bag). Your bag overflow lock would be fixed as soon you've got loot entering your overflow bag.

    Yes, and it deserves even more attention from cryptic now that marks are being awarded in boxes for most everything. I still have marks in the overflow bag I can't get at.

    While it's been bugged since it was introduced, it hasn't been in for 4 years. IIRC, it was added around F2P, maybe shortly after.

    Still annoying. Sometimes even restarting STO doesn't work. I have to wait a day or two.

    I really don't like the pleantiful mark boxes. Seems dumb for a single mark type. Just auto-award my marks if there's only one choice please.

    S9 seems to have fixed this for me, I first noticed I wasn't having any overflow bag issues when it was being tested on Tribble. I'm not saying it isn't happening to others, but it hasn't happened to me at all since the patch. I used to regularly have problems with the overflow bag refusing to open.

    This happens way too consistently (read, every time) for my charaters. It seems like I have to purge my inventory every few minutes just to keep from getting enough garbage to need the overflow bag. If I do end up filling my inventory, the bag won't open. I used to be able to log or change zones and be able to open it, but that hasn't worked since before LOR. This really needs some attention.

    I just got the Reman and Breen Boffs and they went directly to my overflow bag. Had plenty of inventory space. Won't let me move them or use them. I removed Boffs from my inventory, added 2 slots to my active Boffs and removed 2 from my inactive reserves. Still nothing. Logged out, tried again...nope. Cleared space in my bank (even though you can't store them there) ...nada. So how am I supposed to add these Boff rewards to my active list if I can't USE them???

    I've got boffs and things stuck in the overflow bag I can't open on a few characters now.

    Had plenty of bag space when I got the items, they just jumped right in there.

    I know I have the delta flyer pet stuck in there on a few characters, as I can add it to my toolbars from the available skills box.

    I just can't get the overflow bag open.

    When my inventory is full I simply get a message stating something like my inventory is full and I cannot pickup anymore items.

    You get stuff when your inventory is full and:

    A) you get loot while being teamed (like in STF's).
    B) When you receive non-ignorable items like Mark boxes and/or boffs.

    Further to my last, the overflow bag now opens, I've recovered the shuttles from it, but still can't get the Reman out.

    It tells me inventory is full, while I have 59 free slots. Also I have only one character on the Candidates list, that being the Breen chap, so if it's trying to move there, there is room too.

    D'vex and other BOffs getting stuck in the Overflow bag is a known issue that I've sent on to software. For other things, changing maps might help as that forces the character to update. If you've tried changing map and rebooting the game and still have something other than a BOff stuck in the Overflow Bag, let me know the character's name@handle.

    Got both Boffs, Reman and Breen, stuck in the overflow bag and have tried everything short of deleting the Boffs and redoing the missions!

    Since nothing else worked, I simply deleted the 2 Boffs in the overflow bag and re-did the 2 missions. Made sure I had space in my inventory, my candidate and active Boff lists. They actually asked to join this time...and I let them. Maybe not such cowards after all!! :D

    Same thing is happening to me. when I try to claim them from the overflow bag, I get the message: inventory is full, even though there are 12 empty slots.

    The reason boffs get stuck in the overflow bag like that is because when a boff gets ejected into an inventory item, it is unmovable. You can't reposition it in any way, and the only way to remove it from that position is to either push it into your Candidate Roster, if you have space, or to discard it completely. Since the rightclick interface to add to candidate roster is unavailable on items in the overflow bag, and the item cannot normally be added to your inventory...

    So the solution is clearly to fix that. A side effect of that fix would be that people would be able to store boffs in their banks, but I'm not sure this is actually a problem.

    Lame, I just had this bug happen with the Breen Boff from the FE Rerun. You should not be able to claim the reward if you do not have an open spot or they should go to your inventory like the Boffs from the Doff missions do when your Boff inventory is full. Looks like I am going to have waste the time running that mission again since this will not get fixed before the FE Rerun ends next week and it will probably be something that gets put off since the event is over and they can worry about not fixing it again before the next FE Rerun in 6 months.

    sometimes changing instances helps or even going to a different map all together helps but not always.

    They should not LAUNCH events if they are broken. Period. They do all the time, they release events that are bugged in some way, always. They make some players happy, and thats all. Event is bugged, by the time they fix it, the event is over. Always the same story. No Reman Boffs, no Breen Boffs. Awesome. lol.

    It happens even if you dont have your inventory full, by the way, so.. welcolme to "the ways of cryptic". What a shame.

    Yup. Two toons have the Reman from "cutting the cord" stuck in the overflow bag, nothing seems to works to get them out.
    Have you tried the new forum on your phone?

    One other thing that works - it will go into a mail slot, so you can mail them out of Inventory, but sadly not the Overflow bag. A sort will also move them around in the Inventory.

    I also had to delete the Breen Boff on two different characters this week because it got stuck as I had no Boff slots or candidate roster room, though I did have Inventory room they did not go there. I made the room in candidate roster and Boff slots but deleting and rerunning the Mission was the only way to eventually get them

    And Shuttle/Fighter pets go directly into the Overflow Bag regardless of Inventory room. However in this case they were immediately claimable from the Overflow.

    If you cannot open the Overflow bag, a restart will fix that.

    This is not going to be fixed, i already forgot about this event. As so many others.

    Unless cryptic extends the event 4 or 5 more days and of course they FIX it, this is another useless event that never happened.
