Will I loose my Doffs?

I was just wondering, now that I reached the last 8th "hidden" mission of the B'Tran cluster chain doff mission, will I loose the doffs I put up if the mission ends in a failure? I don't think I'd want to put up 4-5 purple quality doffs and then loose them if the mission would fail :/

Any Doff Assignment which has the potential for loosing Doffs will say so in RED TEXT, so read the mission description carefully...

Other than the Red Text as mentioned above where you lose doffs as a matter of course; the only other way I've found to lose doffs is if COMMON doffs die on a failed/crit failed mission. Uncommon and better doffs don't seem to die on missions, they get sent to Sickbay and recover after a day or so.

White doffs can die even in successful or critically successful missions. I sent white doffs to attend a Nausicaan Party once...the mission was a critical success...THEY ALL DIED.

You see this kind of thing a lot in KDF doffing, where doffs are injured and/or killed even on successful missions.

well, that's kind of intended...klingons don't consider something a success unless someone dies

Unless something's changed (read: radically broken) in the last... while... Green-quality and up won't die randomly on DOff missions. Only missions that explicitly remove the DOff's, usually to give you other DOff's, will eat them.

In other words, don't send Common quality doffs on the 8th mission and you're guaranteed that none will be lost.

I also liked the time where I sent 3 guys marauding...they all died, but the mission succeeded. So who brought back the loot? Did they manage to stuff it into a a mailbox before they died?

Actually uncommon doffs can die too, but rarely.

Rare and very rare doffs usually can't die, just go to sickbay. But there was one mission connected to that temporal device that could even kill them.

I have only had common (white) Doffs die. But if you pick your missions carefully, then you can keep that number pretty low. I think I had 6 Fed common Doffs die and maybe around 12 for the KDF ('cause Klingons are not as squeamish about risks and death like the Fed).

I have read a post from someone that he in fact had a purple Doff die on a mission... and it was not because the Doff was simply removed from the roster. He claimed there were no red text warning him that he will loose his Doff(s).

Read my sig on how odd my Doffing experinces have gotten.
Everywhere I look, people are screaming about how bad Cryptic is.
    What's my position?
That people should know what they're screaming about!
