Huh.... A Disco Borg Sphere; "Risian Discotheque" with a special console... "Trip the Light fantastic" creating a AoE placate effect.

    Feds getting cloak!!

Something with build in MES would be interesting though.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Where would you put your crew, aka boffs and doffs, not to mention your bridge?

IMHO, the interior for the Risian ships needs to allow jetpacks, surfing, and swimwear.

I have a hunch that this interior does allow jetpacks though.

That sounds incredibly silly. I like it.

a carrier would be nice, i think we'll likely get the breen carrier though at the end of the year winter's event, since its the only breen ship still missing, so who knows what would come for summer event next year.

It will need to be science oriented, to complete a sort of trio between the classes.
Some sort of ship meant for "Solar gazing" or something? Give it a shiny bronze paint job or something (similar to the solar sail ships in the thread).

Not me, I'd call it Yellow November.

I am skeptical on this as that would likely mean BOTH a science oriented Winter Event ship and a science oriented Risian ship. One or the other I could see but not both.

Winter is currently Battlecruiser/Raider. Summer looks to be Escort/Cruiser. I can't imagine they'd lock into two science ships back to back. I could see maybe the Rezreth as a Science Destroyer this year. But I think in many respects, we're seeing an overall trend towards totally Sci ships being fairly Federation-unique. I think with LoR, Cryptic was trying to get away from the trinity concept and start positioning the factions to compliment one another as teams.

What do you envision the cruiseliner as being? It seems doubtful it's Tac based. There's going to be an engineering focus given the word "cruise" in the name (if nothing else to avoid confusion) but I could see this one being a sci/eng hybrid. Especially with that visible greenhouse area, which brings to mind the aquatic area on the Horizon class.

I have a sneaking supicion this ship (like a few original designs, actually) will probably have some kind of animation and I could see it having a cruiser mode and a science mode, like the Dyson ships' escort/science function. I can't imagine this will be an ALL eng ship but I think it will be Tac lite which makes science a logical focus. And the big way to differentiate from science-y cruisers would probably be to give it a sci-ship "mode" it converts back and forth between.

Watch it have some sort of "love beam" that confuses enemy targets. Maybe some technobabble about the tears of Elasian females being processed into a biochemical compound with a re-engineered (and benign) Psi-2000 virus. The mixture is pumped into the air of the cruiseliner at the request of passengers to enhance the pleasure of the travel experience for tourists aboard by lowering inhibitions and stirring romantic feelings but can be dispatched along a charged particle beam which acts as a carrier to infect enemy ships, confusing or pacifying them.

Sounds more like something the Culture would do, than what the Federation would do :)

    It worked for Freespace2: http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/Volition_Bravos

(I can't find a screenshot of it from the "Derelict" campaign :( The makers of Derelict used it perfectly!)

So, my first thought upon looking at it, was Lando's ship, the Lady Lucky. Which was indestructible in Star Wars Galaxies though it could not be used for combat or mount weapons.

Second thought was Futurama's Land Titanic. I don't see enough lifeboat hatches for a ship that size. Certainly not enough near that promenade deck.

    I still want one though...
