Hey,
I was wonding if anyone could help me.
I have recently bought anew computer and before season 9 was updated it played fine, however now i get to the loading screen and the game freezes on the 'cryptic loading screen' screen.
I have tried to start in Safe Mode and I do get further then before but just before the game loads the computer says that my graphic card has stopped resonding and has now recovered. I thought this could be a problem with my graphics card so i have tried to update the diriver and it was on the most updated version. I have a AMD Radeon 3000 graphics card.
I'm guessing that the problem could be thatr the same is trying to display in a resoution or a detail that is not supported by the graphics card. I did have read a couple of there support threads and have deleted the local data a couple of times so see if that would reset the display that the game i strying to display in but this has not worked.
If anyone could help, I would be extreamly greatful.
Thanks

You want to either delete or edit the one (via notepad) within the game folder e.g. Star Trek Online / Localdata / ..
Some machines don't like to default to 1080p which Season 9 (for some reason) defaults too, which frankly it shouldn't and Cryptic should bloody know better and this is causing A LOT of new problems for people with integrated GPU / APUs
You want to make sure those are the defaulted options in that file then restart, you should then be able to swap out the graphics options as you need to.
Another option is to start the same from within the STO main directory instead of via the launcher, you won't be able to log-in (as it disables the link to the authentication server) but should default the log-in screen reducing load time to fix any issues.
You may also want to delete the contents of the Cache directory as there could be some of it's contents that are either out of date or causing problems with any changed settings.
