Ive read that this class was Perpetuals .. but its still in STO as its been mentioned in multiple threads.. so im asking for an official DEV response for this..
is the ship bad..
what was the layout of the ship.
what TIER would it be in todays ship structure
can we Endeavor to get it back into the hands of future captains
even if you dont like the ship.
there are people who hate scimis due to there size..
those that hate BoPs for ther wimpyness
and those that believe that this is now escort - beamatards online ( spo ive heard )
just lookin a " new " 2410 beginner ship or a possibly make it a Fed T4 that Roms could pilot and use singularitys on..
It looks like a dog sitting on its TRIBBLE. The nacelles and engineering hull are the wrong shape for that saucer.
And people say the Avenger is ugly.

Perpetual called it the Excalibur class, not the Endeavor; and it has never been a playable ship in STO. In fact, before 'Surface Tension' it had never been seen in game except as space debris. It has no stats or Boff seating, unless Cryptic is working on introducing it for real in the future.
There is some interesting Perpetual designs. So it makes sense for some of these ships to see some use. If STO currently has Perpetual's Excalibur in the game, then it is just a matter of time before it is available for our use. After all, the Wells class was introduced weeks before the Temporal Lockbox and Cryptic was saying that we wouldn't be getting it.

I like the Tahoe, The Unknown next to it, and the Nelson. I would not mind seeing the Nelson perhaps to be adapted into a Federation Carrier Frigate.
Seeing the ship in question here, I love the design of the saucer, though think it's been implemented (in some form or other) into the Heavy Escort and Assault Cruiser skins.
The rest of the ship (hull specifically) is just too ugly.
That's the Excalibur-class. It's never been referred to as Endeavour to my knowledge.
There are so very many threads about this ship, on Reddit, in the Art section, in GD itself...
I personally hope it never gets added beyond maybe the saucer as a Gal/Sovereign option. It's just plain ugly. It's unbalanced. The engineering hull is way too small for it, at least with a neck that size.
I am NikkoJT, Foundry author and terrible player. Follow me!
There used to be a picture here, but they changed signatures and I can't be bothered to replace it.
Like the Jupiter and Typhoon it's a relic from when STO was still owned by Perpetual. Supposedly it was even going to be that games Enterprise F.
I guess that's one thing to be thankful to Cryptic for. At least the Odyssey has some measure of visual balance to it. (Yes, I know it's a fan design. Shut up.)

This sums up my feelings of it, but while I don't like the Excalibur, there are other Perpetual designs that are cool. If they make the Excalibur available, then they will likely make the others available.
purpetual had great interiors and crew decks for each of there ships besides bridges , observation loundge, and ready rooms which were different based on ships ..... i know cryptic would never make such a move for this but think the would make such great bundles to sell in c store and those who didnt want to buy them could get those old odd styles they created .....

That is actually a very important picture if you look at it. The Rapier class escort is there and the Sacagewea is basically the Aquarius escort. the Unknown next to the Sacagawea reminds me of the original Defiant idea that it would just be a supe'd up Runabout.
The likelihood of the Excalibur becoming playable in the near future seems highly likely looking at that.
I'm curious as to what role they would have it fill.

That is certainly true. They were able to duplicate the TNG interiors and that style with high fidelity. They also had far more time to actually do that than Cryptic did. I am curious why we haven't gotten the Origin ship interiors yet.
"Rise like Lions after slumber, In unvanquishable number, Shake your chains to earth like dew, Which in sleep had fallen on you-Ye are many they are few"
What you see is concept art, they produced nothing outside concept art.
At no point that would mean that would be in the final product and the fact is they had no final product, only concept art.
Cryptic did a rush job? yes but they had about 2 years to finish as they had a deadline... Perpetual? for 4 years were they only produced concept art and UI mockups concepts during all that time.
I am pretty sure Cryptic can deliver pages and pages of concept art too, we had some Romulan clothing concept for LoR that arent available and no indication they were every anything beyond concept.
Well we've clearly seen that with some of the hair and uniform options that they made for Legacy that haven't quite made it to us yet.
I thought Perpetual had actually built some of the actual interiors such as the conference room, just not in any playable form. Relax though, I know the definition of Vaporware.

Should Perpetual have finished an MMO in 2 years? 4 years? I'm not sure what you're suggesting. Perpetual simply ran out of money before they could truly get started.
More like a Dog sitting on it's TRIBBLE, dragging it across the rug.
Yes indeed.
And [sarcasm]thanks a lot.[/sarcasm] I've hated that ugly thing since the first time I saw it. Now with this description, I want it playable just so I can fly one named Butt Scootin' Doggie.

they ran out of money because they wasted it all on concept art and models that werent even used in the right engine.... the game didnt have any engine, in game assets, ALL they had was their concept art and a few mock up screenshots. they WASTED their money.
in 4 years they should have had more than a couple mock ups and a bunch of drawings.
Cryptic was forced to launch the game in 2 years as part of their contract with CBS after the Perpetual Floundering.

Up until now it was only used as space debris in a couple of the early missions. I have no idea why Cryptic put it in that cutscene.

Some don't like the Avenger's look. I love it.

A second for Tahoe, also, the Ramjet (nice Transformers ref), and the Phoenix are nice.

Besides that nice concept art from perpetual. Especially the corridor graphics looks nice. Would like those!
You really need to edit your links.
Cryptic certainly needs customizable ship interiors.
If you want to go that way. Then here it is.

The Tahoe is also my number one pic. The Unknown seems to be an Excalibur variant.

that was purpetuals idea for the enterprise F .... its also called the endeavor class starship...
