Peanut Labs free zen....not worth it

annahmaria1annahmaria1 Member Posts: 0 Arc User
Being a Graduate Student, I have very little money. Even less money when it comes to playing video games.

However, a friend and fleetmate of mine told me about the surveys you can take to earn free Zen.

Long story short: after about three hours off and on of doing these, I did earn about 700 Zen.

HOWEVER, the amount of surveys I did complete, I should have earned 9000 Zen.

Basically, only one in six surveys were legit. All the other surveys from Peanut Labs, you fill them out, then you get a phone call from these places trying to sell you something..you deal with all of that because hey...it's free zen right? No. They never reimburse you.

One survey I did, it took a half an hour to fill out. I was suppose to get 198 Zen. Nothing. It was like this for most of the surveys.

Honestly, if you want Zen or terribly need Zen...just buy it.

Peanut Labs is a joke.

You can always earn zen in game by converting dilithium into zen.

yeah ive been doing that now.

I also submitted a ticket to Perfect World about the 30 some surveys that were never credited to me. Basically, they said I had to handle this with those who run the survey not perfectworld.

I know Cryptic was struggling...but selling their business to a shady company like this (not just the surveys...but other problems as well) told me they didn't look hard enough for buyers.

You are exactly the person they want to prey on. They have your details, you are left enjoying sales calls every day. Don't think they will stop.

The sad part is that they used to pay out decently. In the past I made well over 3,000 Zen doing these. I used to get surveys that actually held some interest for me, so I would give them honest answers and got some Zen for my efforts. Somewhere along the line they changed and now they pay out measly amounts for junk surveys that rarely, if ever, actually give you Zen. I stopped doing them since I get disqualified so much now, often after getting quite far into the survey. Sometimes around 75% before they dump me. Bleh.

That's why I stopped recently. It was one that had a progress bar, and it was at 81%. I answered the next question and was given the 'Sorry, you don't meet our needs' TRIBBLE. And it had taken over 10 minutes to get to that point. It really sounds like a scam: gather the data they want, then say you don't qualify so they don't have to pay out.

I love how STO is promoting this so much right now as well. On Facebook, every time they make a post about it, there's a ton of comments that are nearly all completely negative. You'd think they would learn.

    yeah

The only reason why I fell for it was because they had the advertisement right here on these forums on the banner top.

I had figured since this was a "decent" MMO it would be legit. Apparently, it wasn't.

In the past I had purchased Zen. Now, there is no way in hell I will do that. Sorry, I just don't trust this company with my credit card. My previous purchases were done on a Credit card that had since expired so I do not need to worry about them doing something stupid.

While taking any surveys for any "free" game currency, just never use your actual details. Use the sites like fakenamegenerator.com and/or create some free mail addres somewhere. Site is legal, and nothing obligate you to use your real personal data in surveys like this. That way you won't need to have to deal with all of the advertisements they will throw your way on your phone, mail etc.

Why even bother with Survey's 90% of the time anyways as almost every one of them
is just a way to Scam your Information and even Datamine your Computer and just
    add Malware,Spyware ect.

If you want Zen That badly do like most players do and grind Dilithium and then sell it
and convert it to Zen or go out and acyually Buy your Zen cause in all honesty 98% of
Any Survey by Peanut Labs or any other Survey company never pays the Zen out anyway.

Honestly Peanut Labs is next to useless now, I check now and then and dont bother if thats what is being used.

The rare times they use sponsor pay have been the only real times i actually use it, they tend to pay out 9 out of 10 at least but damn getting it is rare as hell

I spent about 2 and a half hours doing the surveys. After I finished each one (as shown by the progress bar), I was then told that I didn't qualify. However, I was approved before, and said that I qualify.

I did about 8 of these with 198+ each Zen rewards. I put in the tickets for it, and still haven't seen the Zen I was promised. The bad thing about this is that Cryptic knows that these companies are having us do the entire surveys, and finishing them, then trying not to give the rewards we are suppose to get. Over the past 4 months, I have completely finished enough of the surveys to equal over 1,000 Zen. Yet, all I got was 3 Zen. That was it.

I am done with this scam. And since Cryptic knows what these companies are doing, they cannot claim negligence to be excused from participating in the scam. For allowing it to be advertised and supporting it, they are just as guilty.

It is sad that they stoop to this though.

I get quite a bit of Zen from Peanut Labs, and Bob Smith, who resides in an empty field and has the number of an old burner phone, gets all the junk mail and sales calls...

Their survey's are very prejudice. Short of being a minority and either rich/poor, they don't want your opinion and DQ you.

The few times I put them in the second you put you are white or make xx amount a year you are disqualified.

Their surveys are fake and biased towards their opinions and the companies that use them employ false statistics. Sad you have to lie about being a minority and poor just to get free Zen.

Hell I did a couple surveys that I did not get DQd from and completed, I am still waiting for the zen from them, and this was back during the 2014 Summer event. Give up, they will not pay it out.

I am genuinely surprised that you got any zen at all. I figured 100% of them were a scam.

The fact that only 90% of it is a scam, is actually better news than I expected given my past experiences with them.

Then i feel lucky that it now just takes me straight to y zen wallet. Don't worry since it is unclear that it isn't a TRIBBLE version from peanut labs i don't log in.

And Cryptic has not had my debit card number since 3 cards ago when i started using steams wallet feature.
